1 | Jesus and the "good" theif at the | John 19:30 | SomeOtherName | 202237
Remember, the original texts didn't contain that comma. I told my daughter once, "I'm telling you right now, you are going to college." She was 5 years old at the time. She wasn't going to college right now, I was telling her right now. I believe "Verily, I say unto you today" was a common saying, as "I'm telling you right now." |

2 | When is our name written in the Lambs Bo | Rev 17:8 | SomeOtherName | 202223
Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Sounds like, from the foundation of the world, other "foundation of the world" verses might say "since" or "before" Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: however the "from" can mean "since" Luke 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; but, when it specifically says "since" it means "since" Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. and where it specifically says "before" it means "before" 1 Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: |

Job 14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. 8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; 9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. 10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? 11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: 12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. 13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! 14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. |

5 | Matthew 26:17-30 Mark 14:12-26 Luke 22 | OT general | SomeOtherName | 202184
since you cited parts relating to Pesach-Passover/feast of unleavened bread/and feast of first fruits; and the beginning of the counting of the 7 weeks of the Omer to the period of Shavuot/feast of weeks (Pentecost, or great adding to of the church) Not sure which fest you meant, but : He is/was that Passover Lamb, slain before the foundation of the world, with His legs not broken He is/was that bread that came down from heaven, that manna. He was born in the house of bread (Bethlehem) laying in a manger (food storage crib)... the Omer of Manna "disappeared" from the ark Mark 2:20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. Exodus 16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations. 1 Kings 8:9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt. 2 Chronicles 5:10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt. Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. |

6 | 4 questions about kings and priests | OT general | SomeOtherName | 202182
What king was condemned for acting as a priest? Perhaps David is the one you mean? :) Matthew 12:4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Mark 2:26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? Luke 6:4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? |

7 | do you believe that God's does evil? | Bible general Archive 4 | SomeOtherName | 201827
I believe He created "evil" only in the context or sense He said, He created it. He creates "calamity" when it is needed. When the seeds need scattering, He sends the wind. His fan is in His hand. Isaiah 41:16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. Psalms 90:5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Jeremiah 46:8 Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof. Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. ------------- First one must establish that evil "exists," which begs the definition of "what does exist" mean? For example, does wind "exist" or is it merely the "movement" of atoms and molecules from one place to another due to pressures and temperature variations? Is what is perceived as "evil" (calamity) merely a transitonal period where we don't see the end result while going through it? Numbers 22:23 And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. Numbers 22:33 And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive. Balaam was mad at his donkey not behaving how he thought it should, though it saved him. And, Joseph being sold into slavery and his troubles, Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. God takes calamity, even that He creates, and Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. |

8 | Blessed are the poor in spirit | Matthew | SomeOtherName | 201801
the parallel verse to that is Luke 6:20 which lacks the addition of "in spirit" but, in a nutshell, He judges and comforts and takes care of the needs of the poor, whether in spirit or in other ways. KJV Luke 6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. NIV Luke 6:20 Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. NKJV Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: "Blessed (are you) poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. ---------------- God always saves the poor, and they were left alive and remained. Psalms 107:41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock. Jeremiah 20:13 Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. when Israel is scattered, the poor are left behind, not Harpazoed or caught away forcefully into captivity, they get to inherit, live in houses which they built not, etc. Jeremiah 39:10 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time. Jeremiah 40:7 Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon; Jeremiah 52:16 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen. 2 Kings 25:12 But the captain of the guard left of the door of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen 1 Samuel 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them. Psalms 113:7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. Proverbs 13:7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches. James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? |

9 | Which commandment was he talking about? | 1 Tim 6:14 | SomeOtherName | 201775
Which commandment was he talking about? The 613 commandments, summarized as the 10 commandments, Deuteronomy 6 further summarized in 2 commandments, Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. and finally in THE commandment (actually the one NEW commandment is the same as if you kept all 613 in SPIRIT) if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 1 Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 1 John 2:7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 1 John 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1 John 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. 2 John 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another 2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. So THE commandment, in one word (rater than 613 commandments, or ten commandments, or 2 commandments, or even one commandment, summarized as 1 word is .... LOVE) 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Love |

but He had previously stated to the croud in Luke 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Isa 61:1 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Isa 61:2 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. So, they knew he could heal people. |

speaking of the leftovers; remnant, those who are alive and remain: booths tabernacles Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. Hosea 12:9 And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast. Isaiah 10:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. Nehemiah 8:14 And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month: Sukkot (Hebrew:sukkot ; "booths", also known as Succoth, Sukkos, Feast of Booths or Feast of Tabernacles Nehemiah 8:17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness. the feast of booths/tabernacles disappeared from the calendar during the time the nation of israel didn't exist, it is more recently returning to calendars and of course the lamb is "missing" in Pesach,Passover now, though the sedar is still held. |

13 | SAVED PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE GATES | Rev 20:11 | SomeOtherName | 201770
SAVED PEOPLE BEING OUTSIDE THE GATES OF THE KINGDOM First, I'd have to ask "saved from what?" If you are asking about people who are IN heaven and see sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven, but later get cast out. Matthew 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Yes, that occurs, the scattering part of the scatter/gather (four carpenters and four scatterers) cycle as illustrated by the repetitive cycle beginning with Eden, repeated over and over in the garden with the hedge around it/jerusalem with a wall around it, being invaded by Assyria and Babylon and even in minor scale where Jesus was "captured" and His apostles scatter. Mark 12:8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. Luke 20:15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them? John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Though scattering "seems bad" (remember the talking donkey, and Jospeph being sold) Seeds must scatter to survive. Back on topic, yes, some are cast out, those who enter by any way other than the gate, get in, but are cast out. Revelation 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. Isaiah 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. Daniel 11:34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries Luke 1:54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; 1 Kings 18:4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.) 1 Kings 18:13 Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew the prophets of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the LORD's prophets by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water? but, yes come are cast out of eternal heaven Matthew 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: Matthew 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen. how did he get in in the first place? John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. John 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. Acts 14:27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. Hebrews 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Jude 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. These were "saved" out of the bondage of Egypt, but never entered the "promised land" ... Thos who later entered, were "cast out", and later "gathered" as Jesus sent disciples to gather the scattered remnants after feeding the multitudes, so Jesus sends Angels to gather the elect, after the supper. |
