I've never used STEP or LOGOS. I like the Online Bible (Also known as The WORD) as it has a wealth of materials on it. You can get a free download of most of the material at http://www.answersingenesis.org/onlinebible - there are a handful of translations that require a royalty payment to download, outside of that you can download everything for free. You can also order the CD and get some nice features as well. Theophilos is also a very good program. Again you can get the CD or download most everything for free - http://www.theophilos.sk |

2 | what does 1 Peter 3:3 mean? | 1 Pet 3:3 | Rocky | 2839
The context would indicate to me that Peter is saying woman are to be meek and devoted to God, holy, trusting in God and in subjection to their husbands. That is the goal to be known for - not how bright the jewelry she's wearing. It's not the jewelry that's the issue - but rather what the focus is on. If the focus is on how much gold and fancy jewelry then the focus is in the wrong place.
3 | Was Adam a White Man | Gen 1:26 | Rocky | 2835
Strongs definition of Adam, according to Strongs: 0120 Mda adam aw-dawm from 0119; TWOT-25a; n m AV-man 408, men 121, Adam 13, person(s) 8, common sort 07230 1, hypocrite 1; 552 1) man, mankind 1a) man, human being 1b) man, mankind (much more frequently intended sense in OT) 1c) Adam, first man 1d) city in Jordan valley Not being a Hebrew expert by any stretch, one must assume that the context defines whether it is used in reference to a city, man or the name of Adam... The "color" of Adam would be difficult to know for absolute certainty - except to say that genetically he would have to be "middle dark" in order to have the genetic makeup to allow the variation we see today. He would have to have the genes for "black", "white" and everything in between. Whichever one that was dominate in him would seem problematic to determine. |
