Why would you want to show your faith in God as you say by doing something the Bible specifically speaks against? that is a contradiction. All of us we profess to be followers of Christ need to ask ourselves if what we do is pleasing to God.

We spoke to the pastor and the fiance's mother who are also Christians. They all said they do not have a problem with our son and their daughter living together because she is there to just sleep. She works nights and he works days so they wont be there at the same time. Though she was there on his days off. We asked our son if she was staying there and are they fornicating and he said no. So he lied (he has a track record of lying). She is staying there-even if it is too sleep.( 1 Thes 5:22-Abstain from the APPEARANCE of evil). Her mother said she nor the pastor who is marrying them see no problem in her sleeping there. She "trusts her daughter". What about the immense temptations? What about the appearance of evil? We said they need to separate until marriage (which is in 2 weeks)or get married immediately. Her mother told us to "not cause any problems". The pastor believes that they are ready for marriage (he did pre-martial counseling with them).I am totally devastated as well as my husband. I am so sick of Christians who are wishy-washy in their stance. My husband said that we can not attend the wedding. It seems as we take a stand for righteousness, we are standing alone more and more often. It is just my husband, me and the Lord. We have nothing else. I am really fighting deep discouragement and depression over all of this. I know I need to look to the Lord and only Him. I know what God's Word says and take a stand for it but I keep asking myself are we the only ones?????

Thank you so much for your answer! Our son was trained/instructed from birth from scripture. To answer your questions he was CONSTANTLY told about keeping pure until marriage. In fact we just spoke to him and gave him the opportunity to tell us the truth and he lied about his fiance living there when in fact know it is not true. We do not or ever did have cable of any kind. we also never watched television. He was homeschooled and taught the Truth from an early age. Like the Bible says-from the rising of the sun until the setting and the coming in and going out. We taught him God's standards. We told him all along (even as he was growing up)that we could not put our blessing or attend his wedding if he commited fornication.
