Paul , In this epistle is speaking of his ownself ,somehow knowing of his own death , he is urging Timothy to be steadfast in his ministry. To be encouraged , even with knowledge of his natural death his thoughts are still fixed on his appearing before the Judge , the righteous Judge .I would venture to say that he is excited about this , after all his exploits , through everything that he has endured , he expects the wonders , and glory of standing in his presence . | ||||||
