In Matthew 24 Jesus is responding to the disciples pointing out the temple building to Him. He responds by telling them that at a certain point of time this temple will be destroyed. The disciples then ask Christ three questions. 1. When will the destruction of the temple occur? 2. What will be the signs of this judgement? 3. What will be the signs of the end of the age? | ||||||

No Paul is saying that Jews pursued a righteousness based upon keeping the Ten Commandments. Because no sinful human being can keep the commandments their faith was null and void. However, to achieve righteousness it must be done through faith in Christ. This doesn't make the law obsolete rather it puts the law in its proper place showing us the Character of God, and giving the believer as a rule of life, informing them of the will of God and their duty. | ||||||
