1 | Why would God lead us into temptaion? | Matt 6:13 | Pilgrim2eternity | 193031
I had a really hard time with this part of the Lord's prayer also and rolled it around in my head a lot. Take a look at Matthew 4:1 The Temptation of Jesus Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:1 I think when it comes to the Lord's Prayer, Jesus was saying "I've been there and trust me you don't want to go there, so ask the Father to lead you away from there" There is a lot more to this but I trust you to meditate on the word and let it connect with you. When you use the word to learn about the word you can't go wrong and ask the Holy Spirit to show you the awesome truths found there Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry |

2 | why is Acts 2:44 not practiced today | Acts 2:44 | Pilgrim2eternity | 176702
Why: I think the answer can be found not in why it isn't being practiced now but why it was practised back in Acts. They were devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Reverential awe came over everyone, and many wonders and miraculous signs came about by the apostles. All who believed were together and held everything in common, and they began selling their property and possessions and distributing the proceeds to everyone, as anyone had need. Every day they continued to gather together by common consent in the temple courts, breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with glad and humble hearts, praising God and having the good will of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47 Devoted to teaching Devoted to fellowship Devoted to breaking of bread Devoted to prayer In Reverential awe Wonders Miraculous signs Believers together Everything in common Selling stuff to help needy Gathered together Sharing Glad hearts Humble hearts Praising God Favor found The Lord added Why were they devoting themselves to the teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, to prayer? I don’t know about you but doing these things to be obedient is an answer to the question but when you read the whole paragraph you see something much different. You see a love that transcends earthly circumstance. They not only listened to the apostles, fellowshipped, broke bread, prayed, they sold their stuff and they helped others but they did it with humble glad hearts, they praised God and had the good will of the people. And what was the product? The Lord, The Lord added to their number. And we are not talking one and two, we’re talking thousands, verse 41 talks about three thousand in one day. No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 Who is Jesus? His Core is Love. Jesus wouldn’t have done what He did, if He didn’t love. God wouldn’t have sent His Son, if He didn’t love. For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Love transcends boundaries Love transcends impossible situations Love overcomes the unfeasible Love overcomes the unworkable Love overcomes the not viable Love overcomes the unattainable Love transcends restrictions Love knows no limits Love has no margins It is in the Love that impossible becomes possible It is in the Love that unbearable situations are made bearable It is in the Love that the wonder working power resides Love is Enough His Love for me is Enough My Love for him is Enough This Love has seen mighty mountains moved This Love is moving mighty mountains This Love will move mighty mountains His Love holds the power Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry |
