Lee-Roy "They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves to sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you." 2 Peter 2:19 NLT My experience with smoking is that it "controls" you. Once it comes between you and the Lord it certainly is a sin. I smoked for many years but when I finally asked the Lord to help me quit... and really meant it... He came through. Try Him! |

3 | I'm not sure this is applicable | Bible general Archive 1 | Parousia | 56026 | ||
Dear Wanderer: "Utilmatum" has been defined as "a demand accompanied by a threat to inflict some penalty if the demand is not met". I hardly think you mean to direct such a threat toward God. Bartering with God is not a good plan. Why not approach Him with a broken and contrite heart... asking Him for what it is you need. Twenty-five years ago when I stopped smoking... I needed all the help from God I could get. You seem to be able to stop it on demand which I would certainly encourage you to do. It makes the pages of your Bible easier to see. |
