If I am correct, it was a general belief that a person suffered illness due to sin, so that is why the disciples asked the question. We do have sickness and death because of the fall of man, but God does not punish us by inflicting us with sickness. The man was born blind so that he could meet Jesus when he did and glorify God when Jesus healed him. Yes, Job's sufering was for the glory of God and for the strength of his soul. If you remember, the devil told God that Job only served Him (God) because God was good to Job. Through Job's trial, God showed satan, Job and Job's friends that Job served God out of a pure heart, not based on material things. God knew that Job would pass the test, and Job is an example of how we are to respond to suffering and things that we do not understand. We must wait on God and trust in His goodness. |

You are not doing anything wrong. Please know that you will be tempted, there is no escaping this fact. Know that "there hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the emptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." I Corinthians 10:13 God will not forsake you or turn His back on you, He loves you. The devil wants to keep you bound and confused, but remember that Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b Walking away from homosexuality is very hard, trust me I know from experience, but if you remain persistent and steadfast you will do it and become More than a conqueror. The temptation to fall into this particular kind of sin may always be there, but temptation in and of itself is not bad, it is when we give in to temptation that we sin. When temptations come, pray, read the Word and rebuke the thoughts and the devil. I had a scripture that I quoted constantly throughout the day to keep me strong, find one that ministers to you and meditate on it day and night and watch the temptations go away. I will be praying for you |
