2 | ... | John 16:28 | OldPilgrim | 191445
Hi ParsonPat. You asked. "who is the apparently mysterious "Father" to whom Jesus referred in this 16:28?" I think you will find the answer in the verse bellow. John 5:18 For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God. I hope that this is of help. OldPilgrim. |

3 | Can we lose salvation if we go back sinn | John 6:39 | OldPilgrim | 189095
Hi marbella. Thank you for your question, I personally do not believe that a real born again Christian can loose salvation, although I know that others will disagree. There are a number of verses of Scripture that I feel support my viewpoint, just one of which I will quote at this time. John 6:39 "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. Upon reading this verse, I would ask myself, "Is Jesus able to do His Father's will?". The answer would have to be an unequovical "YES".. Note, Jesus does not say, that they might not loose their salvation, but that He might not loose their salvation. I would say therefore that He will not, and because of this, you cannot.
