1 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | No Other Name | 190388 | ||
BEFORE. The revelation first started in the New Testament with Peter. Matthew 16: 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, (Strongs 5547. Christos, khris-tos; anointed, i.e. the Messiah), the Son of the living God. Matthew 16: 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (Revelation By God who Jesus was) Matthew 16: 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (revelation of who Jesus was) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16: 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: Peter fulfilled the Words of the Lord in Matthew 28:19 and used his heavenly keys for the 1st time in Acts 2:38) St.John 8: 24 - I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. After Peter very boldly preached on the day of Pentecost to 3000 souls that they had messed up terribly: Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? To which Peter answered by pulling out those keys which Jesus had given him and bluntly and clearly spoke in ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST. ACTS 2:39 - For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and even to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. II Peter 1:20- knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. Ephesians 4:5- One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism When we read the 19th chapter of the book of ACTS we find there were twelve men who had not heard of nor received the HOLY GHOST and Paul asked them how they were baptized and they said unto John’s Baptism and Paul REBAPTIZED THEM in the NAME OF JESUS and they all received the HOLY GHOST and spoke with other tongue. Matt. 28:19 Jesus said to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Peter’s first documented baptism after this statement was in ACTS 2:38 where he baptized in the name of JESUS CHRIST. Peter obeyed JESUS, because the name of the FATHER and the SON and the HOLY GHOST is JESUS and is verified throughout scripture as seen in Deut 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is ONE LORD! Isaiah 43:10 - Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isaiah 43:11 - I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior. Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the MIGHTY GOD, The EVERLASTING FATHER, the PRINCE of Peace. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:22 Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the LORD by the prophet, saying, Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name EMMANUEL, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US. St. John 1:1 - In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD was GOD St.John 1:14 - And the WORD was made flesh and dwelt among us, St.John 10:30 - (Jesus Talking) I and my Father are one. St.John 14:9 - (Jesus said to Philip) He that hath seen me hath seen the Father: and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? I John 5:7 - For there are three that bear record in heaven, the FATHER, the WORD and the HOLY GHOST: and these three are ONE. ACTS 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED. Peters Acts 2:38 message was in submission to the heavenly spiritual revelation that Jesus Christ was the Messiah, the fulness of GOD manifested in the flesh as a man and confirmed by Jesus himself and Acts 2:38 fulfilled Matthew 28:19 and did not contradict it. |
