1 | What was the answer? | 1 Sam 28:12 | Nicholson | 80254
The realm of all the dead is called SHEOL in the Old Testament. It is called HADES in the New Testament. The government of the whole earth including the realm of the dead was in complete control of Satan and his angels (demons). The Lord Jesus Christ, at the time of His death on the cross, entered the realm of the dead. He tasted death for every man. (Heb.2: 9,14,15) But it was not possible that He should be held by death. (Acts 2:24) After the death of our Lord, the power of Satan over the realm of the dead ended. And Satan's power over the whole earth will also come to an end very soon. (Rev.11: 15) So during the days of the Old Testament, Satan and the demons could bring back the soul of Samuel. |

2 | What is the meaning of Alleluia | 1 Sam 28:7 | Nicholson | 42710
The word "Alleluia" occurs many times in the Psalms and it has been translated "Praise the LORD" In the New Testament this word occurs only in the 19th chapter of the Book of Revelation. Here it occurs four times, and it occurs when God's original purpose for creating man (to reign with Him) was fulfilled. |

3 | When was "In the Beginning" | Gen 1:1 | Nicholson | 17726
The heavens and the earth of Gen.1:1, refer to the whole universe created by God, out of nothing, in the distant past. Man cannot comprehend the universe which includes the earth and while it was created by God it could never have been in the ruined condition seen in Gen.1:2. The universe consists of countless number galaxies. Our earth is in one such galaxy. The sun is one of the 20,000 crores of stars which are in our galaxy. The nearest star is about 4 ½ light years away from the earth. (One light year is equal to the distance traveled by light in one year whereas the speed of light is 3,00,000 kms per second) So man can never know or understand anything about even the nearest star. So beyond Gen.1: 1 God is speaking only about the earth. In is clear that an unrevealed length of time has elapsed between Gen.1: 1 and Gen.1: 2. This period of time may be a number of ages.
4 | Than i may know Him | Gen 1:1 | Nicholson | 17725
God has revealed through His word, only those things which can be understood by us now. The heavens and the earth were created many ages before the creation of man. But God has revealed only those things which happened after (or in relation to) the creation of man around 6000BC. What happened before that is not only beyond our comprehension but also not essential for you and me at present. Whatever is revealed to us is for us to OBEY. (Deut.29:29) |

5 | Church Age? | Acts 2:17 | Nicholson | 5535
Is Acts 2:17, talking about the church age? No. First of all there is nothing called “THE CHURCH AGE” in the Scriptures. The Greek words AION, GENEA and OIKONOMIA have been most often wrongly translated and also wrongly understood. AION means AGE and GENEA means GENERATIONS and OIKONOMIA means DISPENSATION or STEWARDSHIP. Also the wrong understanding of the words AGES and DISPENSATIONS have led to wrong understanding of many portions of Scripture. This has also given rise to formation of many cult groups and wrong doctrines. Comparing Matt.12: 31,32 and Eph.1: 21 and the right translation of many other portions of Scripture shows clearly that God has revealed to man only about 2 ages. (1) The FIRST age, which is this present age of approximately 6000 years from ADAM to the GLORIOUS RETURN of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. (2) Then there will be the SECOND age of 1000 years, the coming Messianic Age of the glorious reign of our Lord Jesus Christ over the whole earth. The present AGE of 6000 years can be divided into 3 dispensations of 2000 years each. 1) Dispensation of the Gentiles from Adam to Jacob 2) Dispensation of the Jews from Jacob – Israel to the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ 3) Dispensation of Church from the time of the setting aside of Israel to the rapture of the Church. Acts 2: 16 – 21 must be compared with other related portions like Joel 2: 27-32, Isa.32: 12-18, Isa.44: 1-8, Ezek.39: 28,29, Zech.12: 8 – 13: 1 These Scriptures show clearly that there will be a POURING of the Holy Spirit accompanied by signs, miracles and wonders at the time of our Lord’s return to regather and restore the people of Israel to the Promised Land. At that time the whole house of Israel will repent and return back to their Land and the promises given to them in Gen.12: 1-3 and Exo.19: 5,6 etc. will be fulfilled. This kind of POURING of the Spirit or the signs, miracles and wonders occurred during a few occasions in their history when these promises were about to be fulfilled. Those were the times of 1) Moses and Joshua, 2) Elijah and Elisha, 3) the Lord Jesus and His disciples. These things did not occur in a similar manner on any other occasion throughout the human history. THESE THINGS WILL NOT OCCUR DURING THE PRESENT DISPENSATION OF THE CHURCH. These things will take place only after the rapture of the Church when the People of Israel will repent and return to their Land in the presence of our Lord. |

6 | Who are "we?" | NT general Archive 1 | Nicholson | 4988
WE? Sorry. We do not have anything to do with Nirankari. We understand that there are 3 aspects of Salvation. First – The PAST completed aspect of Salvation – the salvation of the spirit – This is a free gift of God to everyone that believes on the finished work of the cross. This exists in the finished condition in a believer. John 3: 16, 5: 24, Eph.2: 8,9, etc. This results in receiving eternal life, which means, being eternally united with God. Those who have not received this will be separated from God forever. Second – The PRESENT CONTINUOUS aspect of Salvation – the salvation of the soul – This is carried out continually throughout the life of a believer. Heb.10: 39, 1Pet.1: 9, Phil.2: 12, etc. This results in receiving the rewards of becoming a joint-heir of Christ and partaking in His power and glory in His Millennial Kingdom. Third – The FUTURE aspect of Salvation – the salvation of the body – This will take place completely at one particular moment in the future for all believers. 1Cor.15: 52, Phil.3: 21 |

7 | Are Adam and Eve in Hell? | Deuteronomy | Nicholson | 4691
As on today there is no one in hell. The BEAST and the FALSE PROPHET will be the first two persons to be cast into hell, at the beginning of the Millenniel Kingdom. (Rev.19:20) Then at the end of the Millennial Kingdom Satan followed by his angels and then all the unsaved men will be cast into hell. God clothed Adam and Eve with the coats of skins. (Gen.3:21) This indicates symbolically that they are saved by the grace of God. (Eph 2:8,9) So they will not be in hell. |

8 | How will we judge the angels? | Luke 16:19 | Nicholson | 4645
It is correct that we may have a share in the judgement of the fallen angels also at the Great White Throne. During the Millennial kingdom the angels will be serving us when we will exercise authority over the earth with our Lord. |

9 | Which 2 tribes destroyed? | Deuteronomy | Nicholson | 4263
Joseph had 12 sons. In place of Joseph, his 2 sons were given inheritance. 1Chron.5:1. This brought the total to 13. Then God commanded that LEVI will not have any separate inheritance in the Land. Duet.10:9 and 18:1. So the inheritance was given to 12, which consisted of Jacobs 10 sons and Joseph's 2 sons. |

10 | where was good hell b4 Abrahams bossom? | Luke 16:19 | Nicholson | 4205
Before or after Abraham, all the dead go to "the plcae of the dead" known as SHEOL on the OT and HADES in the NT. Both these words are translated as HELL in many potions of the Scripture. This has led to lot of confusion. The unsaved will go to HELL only after the White Throne Judgement. The saved will go to HEAVEN on after the resurrection mentioned in 1Thess 4. Abraham's bossom is one section of the SHEOL/HADES, where the presence of our dear Lord will be experienced in a very real way. |

11 | WILL YOU KNOW YOUR LOVE ONES IN HEAVEN | Luke 16:19 | Nicholson | 4141
What we read in this portion of the Scripture is about what happens immediately after death. Here we all (saved or unsaved) will be able to recognise eachother. As we read in this portion, Lazar, rich man and Abraham are able to recognise each other. When our Lord returns (1Thess 4) only the saved persons will be there in His presence and will be able to recognise each other as we can understand in these words of Comfort in 1Thess 4. The unsaved will probably never remembered or seen at that time. At the judgement of the unsaved (Rev.20:11-15) the saved are not likely to be present at all. |
