1 | life problem | Bible general Archive 1 | Mickodemus | 90013
Life problem, Maybe the salution is to go to this pastor and ask if you could do some of the teachings some times. This way you may stay on good grounds with Him and still keep people to come hear two different people speaking. I'm sure there are still some there that like his teaching, ay'? This is the way the first churches got started. elders/presbyters were always plural not singular. Talk it over with the others who want the change. Hope this helps! Sola Scriptura Mike |

2 | origin of NASB | Bible general Archive 1 | Mickodemus | 90011
Seeking the Truth, The only way to have accuracy in the Bible is to search the scriptures like the Bereans did in Acts 17:11-12. What you need is to look at different translations of the Bible and pick which one seems to speak the truth to you the most. I myself prefer the NKJV along with the New English Translation (NET) and NIV. You can find these bibles on the web to even refer to. (www.bible.org/netbible/) Another great help is to get a Strongs Exhaustive Concordance, to help you find any word in the Bible, it also translates it from Greek and Hebrew too. Another great site that has tons of Bibles and Concordances is www.e-sword.net/ you can download this program to your computer and it even has a KJV with the Hebrew and Greek word find. This is an excellent help. Hope this helps! Sola Scriptura Mike |

3 | meaning and process of sanctification | 1 Thess 5:23 | Mickodemus | 89014
The Westminster Confession of Faith clarifies this well, I."They, who are once effectually called, and regenerated, having a new heart, and a new spirit created in them, are further sanctified, really and personally, through the virtue of Christ's death and resurrection,[1] by his Word and Spirit dwelling in them:[2] the dominion of the whole body of sin is destroyed,[3] and the several lusts thereof are more and more weakened and mortified;[4] and they more and more quickened and strengthened in all saving graces,[5] to the practice of true holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.[6] 1. I Thess. 5:23-24; II Thess. 2:13-14; Ezek. 36:22-28; Titus 3:5; Acts 20:32; Phil. 3:10; Rom. 6:5-6 2. John 17:17, 19; Eph. 5:26; Rom. 8:13-14; II Thess. 2:13 3. Rom. 6:6, 14 4. Gal. 5:24; Rom. 8:13 5. Col. 1:10-11; Eph. 3:16-19 6. II Cor. 7:1; Col. 1:28, 4:12; Heb. 12:14 II. This sanctification is throughout, in the whole man;[7] yet imperfect in this life, there abiding still some remnants of corruption in every part;[8] whence ariseth a continual and irreconcilable war, the flesh lusting against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh.[9] 7. I Thess. 5:12; Rom. 12:1-2 8. I John 1:8-10; Rom. 7:14-25; Phil. 3:12 9. Gal. 5:17 III. In which war, although the remaining corruption, for a time, may much prevail;[10] yet, through the continual supply of strength from the sanctifying Spirit of Christ, the regenerate part doth overcome;[11] and so, the saints grow in grace,[12] perfecting holiness in the fear of God.[13] 10. 4 | special revelation vs general revelation | Ps 19:1 | Mickodemus | 89011
Special revelation is things that are revealed to you from God through His Word, The Bible. Or (in the case before the New Testament was written.) it was when the Holy Spirit spoke through Prophets, Tongues, and miracles. General or Natural revelation is that what is obvious to the eye or senses. We know just by looking at the world, sun, sky, stars, and all living things and all creation that God is "I am!" That it just didn't appear out of nothing, as some evolutionist want to believe. Psalm 19:1-14 (NKJV) reveals these revelations well. In Christ, Mick |

5 | What is "Moral Law"? | Matt 5:17 | Mickodemus | 88917
It seems that there are some people that want to say that we do not need the 10 Commandments anymore, that Christ did away with them. This is not so. As you read this passage from Matthew, Christ is saying that He did not come to take away the Law or prophets, but fulfill them. When Christ also responds to the Pharisees question in Matt 22:34-40, "Which is the greatest Commandment?" The Lord responds, "Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, mind, and soul." That is the greatest Commandment. It comes first. The second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Everything in the Law and the Prophets hang on these two Commandments."(NEB) But we see here that Christ is just summarizing what the 10 commandments are telling us. The 1st four Commands are for the Love of God, and the last six are for your neighbor. They are still in effect today. Mick Eph 2:8-9 |
