1 | Can I remarry and be forgiven by god | Luke 7:47 | Martha | 72645
It is very sad that your whole family have to go through the frustration of an affair and a divorce. A mistake was made on your part but it seems to me that you have repented yourself, but cannot find forgiveness from your husband, to tell you the truth I wouldn't forgive my husband if he was to have an affair on me, but then again, I might, because I love him away too much and because I have God in me, and I know that God's spirit in me can and will forgive him. If Your Husband has God's spirit in him, he might be able to forgive you, but then again, God might be wanting you to go on your own way, and is calling you elsewhere. I would not worry about God not forgiving me, God forgive us all, that's why Jesus Christ died in the cross, to save us all. Yes, He will judge us, but He is also our Father and our Protector, and the one you have to confess your sins to. Talk to God, pray to Him, confess your sins to Him, be sorry for spotting His name and humiliating Him. He is the only one that matters in this case, His name has been stained by the affair and the divorce, and you need to ask Him for his forgiveness and be in peace with Him. Do not leave Him, nor forsake Him, get closer to Him. He will get closer to you and will forgive you. Nobody else matters, and no one else has the right to judge you, only God does., and only God and yourself are the only ones that actually know what it is that really happened. John 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. I would not worry about the future or about getting marry again, God will provide and will draw up your future. Just do not leave Him, no matter what, do not go elsewhere or stop going to church. Cling to Him, prey to Him, read the bible daily. Solve your problem the best possible way you can without staining God's name any longer. Matt 6:34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Remember, no one can judge you, only God can. James 4:12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor? And for the people who are judging you right now? Keep the following verse to yourself, don't accuse them or justify yourself in front of them. You don't have to. Just justify yourself in front of God. Smile at those people and continue with your life the best possible way you can, thinking always about our God and Father, who is in heaven. Rom 2:1 Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. We will be judged in the flesh for our mistakes, but we will live in the spirit with God. 1 Pet 4:6 For the gospel has for this purpose been preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as men, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God. Many blsssings to you and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob be with you. Martha, |

2 | what is the true worship day sun. or sat | Col 2:16 | Martha | 25507
It's not in the bible. The day of rest and worship that God gave us was the seventh day of the week. The seventh day of the week is Saturday. If you are not sure about this, look at your Calendar. In the Calendar you will see the seventh day of the week as Saturday and the first day of the week as Sunday. Then look at the dictionary, the dictionary will tell you that the seventh day of the week is Saturday and that the first day of the week is Sunday. The Sabbath was changed from the seventh day of the week, Saturday; to the first day of the week, Sunday; by the Romans after they founded the Catholic Church. You will have to go into the Catholic archaives and find out how it happened. I read it once in an article but I forgot where. I do not like to snoop around in things that are not in the bible so it's up to you. This is in the bible: "By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seveth day from all his work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all his work which God had created and made. Gen 2:2-3 God made the seventh day Holy, which is Saturday. "But the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or yur daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. "for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy. Ex 20:10-11 "For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a sabbath of complet rest to the Lord; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. Ex 35:2 God commands the people to rest the seventh day, the sabbath, which is Saturday. "The people of the land shall also worhsip at the doorway of that gate before the Lord on the sabbaths and on the new moons. Ezek 46:3 God commands the people of Israel to worship the sabbaths and the new moons. Some people worhip on the sabbaths right now, the seventh day, I haven't heard of anyone still worshipping the new moons. "They went into Capernaum; and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and began to teach. Mark 1:21 When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue; and the many listeners were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things, and what is this wisdom given to Him, and such miracles as these performed by His hands? Mark 6:2 On another Sabbath He entered the synagogue and was teaching; and there was a man there whose right hand was withered. Luke 6:6 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath Luke 13:10 But going on from Perga, they arrived at Pisidian Antioch, and on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down. Acts 13:14 "For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, recognizing neither him nor the utterances of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him. Acts 13:27 As Paul and Barnabas were going out, the people kept begging that these things might be spoken to them the next Sabbath. Acts 13:42 The next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of the Lord. Acts 13:44 "For Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath." Acts 15:21 And on the sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside, where we were supposing that there would a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had assembled. Acts 16:13 The Jews worshipped in the Sabbath, Jesus Christ taught and worshipped in the Sabbath and the apostles worshipped and taught in the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, Saturday. Now the Jews persecuted Jesus Christ for working on the Sabbath, doing good, or eating, and He said he was also Lord of the Sabbath. They never persecuted him for worhsipping or teaching on the Sabbath. Then the apostles said: "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. Col 2:16 Worship on the Sabbath if you want to worship on the Sabath, let the others do what they want to do, they will joint you if they feel like it or viceversa. By the way, you can work and do good on the Sabbath, Jesus Christ did. But, the Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week, which is Saturday. Let God and Jesus Christ be your guide and light. May God bless you, |

3 | what doe's matthew 7:12-14 says? | Matthew | Martha | 25280
Matthew 7:12 says: "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the Prophets, In other words, do unto others as you want them to do unto you. If you want them to walk an extra mile with you, you walk an extra mile with them first. Matthew 7:13 says: "Enter by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Enter through life and start living by entering into Jesus Life and following his path. In other words, change your lifestyle for the better. The Narrow gate is God's way. The way to destruction is the world's way, such as do as you please and follow your carnal desires, human desires such as alcohol, drugs, overeating, overreacting, hating others, fighting, revenge, all these leads to destruction. There are millions who follow this way. Matthew 7:14 says: "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Do what Jesus Christ says to do in Matthew Chapters 5 through 7 and you are going to find out that his way is very very narrow and very very difficult. By actually doing what he says you become a different person and your life seems so narrow, you think you might go crazy and quit. This is what the world calls a narrow minded person. But God calls you wise. It is very difficult to follow Christ's narrow way, you must fight within your ownself to win over your carnal desires, this is why only few will find it. You can only do it if you ask God for Strength, Courgage and Wisdom; and rely on the Holy Spirit, God and Jesus Christ. Overcome the carnal desires of the world and you will find out how really narrow God's gate is. At the end you will be an entirely different person, and you will be at ease, in peace and happy, but you will always have tribulations. In God's name, Martha, |

5 | Are tongues a world language or not? | 1 Corinthians | Martha | 24539
I think the apostles were talking about each other's languages, such as Italian, Hebrew, or Arab. I do not believe that people talking mumbo jumbo are talking in tongues. I think the apostles were talking in an "universal language" when everyone else heard them talking in their own language, but that only happened once in the bible and it was not mentioned again. My believe is that it does not exist any longer. |

8 | How do we open eyes to truth? | Deut 7:2 | Martha | 24396
From reading everyone's note I can see we are all very confused and war is a very touchy subject. From reading the bible and from learning from Christ's teachings. This is what I have come up with: To answer your question "How do we open the eyes of fellow Christians to this truth? WE CANNOT. It is God's job to teach and instruct each and every single one of us to do the job that he wants us to do. He has taught you and I and a few others that war is not permissible for us but he has taught something different to the rest of the people arguing with you. He will open our eyes to the truth at his own appointed time. Then we will know who was right and who was wrong. We don't know who is blind right now, it could be us or it could be them, but both sides cannot be right. One of the sides is wrong and the other one is right. Only God will fix this. Wait until he returns and each one of us stands in front of him. In the meanwhile, I say war is okay for the government and for the rulers of this earth including satan. War is not okay for us Christians to whom God has opened their eyes to not war, because then we would be sinning and would have to answer to him. If we are ever at war, here on our land, we will be right in the middle of it and we will have to choose to kill or not to kill. I for one, know not to kill and will not. If the govenment demands for me to get involved I will join the Red Cross and help the victims on both sides of the war. I will be just like the Red Cross, neutral and helping all the needed ones. They are helping in Afghanistan right now. They are in the middle of the war and they are not killing, they are helping the dying. The government does not kill them, they praise them and give them what they need. The people in Afghanistan whom have joined the Red Cross should be praised for as well. Let the war subject be at ease. Let us be Christians and concentrate on God and Christ. Martha, |

9 | to thuose who are called, | Jude 1:1 | Martha | 24214
Called, when you are being called by God. When you are spiritually searching for God's way and doing his will. Following what is good and not evil. Separated, as soon as you start doing God's will you change and become different from the rest of the people in the world. We are separated mentally from the world, thinking only about God and Jesus Christ, changing daily. Physically we are still in this world, waiting for Christ to return. |

10 | How do we respond to war as Christians? | Deut 7:2 | Martha | 23678
We are Christians and we are supposed to follow Jesus Christ footsteps. Jesus did not want to go to war with the Romans and he said: "You have heard that it was said, 'you shall love thy neighbor and hate your enemy.' "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? "And if you greet your brethen only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:43-48. We ought to do better and more than the rest of the world, we are to shine as the light of the world and do good not evil. War is evil. |
