1 | noah fed the animals what? | Gen 2:21 | MWLaine | 232204
Some would say food that was right for those animals that were not in a hibernation state. Bears and squirrels, frogs and turtles hibernate...that we know of. There are many others also that do the same. Would we assume this to have potential to be a mammalian and reptilian capability. Thus by extension would we not assume that God could supernaturally command the animals to sleep. God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep. My kids lapse into sleep while driving.
2 | SEEMS CONTRADICTION IN NUM 20:21-22. | Num 22:1 | MWLaine | 229822
The answer is in plain sight... God came to Balaam at night and said to him, "If the men have come to call you, rise up and go with them; but only the word which I speak to you shall you do." They did not come to call him. In the morning he rose and went... It seems the angel only told Balaam he would have killed him. Except for his donkey who saw more clearly than Balaam himself. Imagine that...a donkey with better spiritual vision than the prophet Balaam. Sometimes people must get the knot jerked in their tail before they see truth. |

Gen 28:12 He had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. This was at the high place of God, Jerusalem. Jacob declared it holy and built an altar. |

4 | did Enoch die | Gen 5:24 | MWLaine | 229817
Gen 5:24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; AND HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM UP; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God. Gods written word is truth. Sounds to me like Enoch was taken. Was it rapture? You be the judge. Rapture noun, verb tense tured, turing. noun 1. ecstatic joy or delight; joyful ecstasy. 2. Often, raptures. an utterance or expression of ecstatic delight. 3. the carrying of a person to another place or sphere of existence. 4. the Rapture, Theology . the experience, anticipated by some fundamentalist Christians, of meeting Christ midway in the air upon his return to earth. 5. Archaic . the act of carrying off. |

6 | what are all the little folly | Eccl 10:1 | MWLaine | 188692
A little folly? Lack of good judgment. A costly undertaking having an absurd or ruinous outcome. Therfore for a man vainly trying to demonstrate his wisdom, or honor, are found to usually become undone based upon the tiniest of follies. Like Osama Bin Laden's folly at poking at the USA sleeping giant. Eventually the giant wakes up and grinds the bones of their taunter to make their bread. Or, the foolish Jews who mistakenly shouted out that the blood of Jesus be upon they and their children. Guess what? It has been. Better to remain humble and be thought stupid than to open ones mouth thus removing all doubt. |

7 | Has Moses law been re established? | John 5:29 | MWLaine | 186562
M. Royal Romans 3:19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. Jesus said... Matt 5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. If you do not believe that the law is used to convict all men into the realm of the lost so that all men may recognize the error of their ways...then you do not believe in justice. Which leads me to believe you don't believe their is a God that judges. Why are you here? Are you in need of salvation? Do you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior? Do you believe in One God? Do you believe you are a man who will be sent to hell for eternity if you deny who Jesus Christ is, the Son of the Living God? I noticed you are selectively pulling partial verses for your dialoging. For what purpose other than to create a case for argumentiveness. Tell me of your salvation and I will discern if this conversation continues. |

8 | By which law shall we be judged? | John 5:29 | MWLaine | 186547
We will be judged by every law and found lacking. You can do this yourself using Gods Ten Commandments. Go through each and let your conscience (with knowledge) be your guide... 1) Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and all thy soul. 2) Thall shalt not have/put/keep any false Gods before me. 3) Thall shalt not take the Lord thy Gods name in vain. 4)Thall shalt keepeth Holy the Sabbath. 5)Thall shalt honor thy father and mother. 6)Thall shalt not murder. Jesus says if you are angry with your brother/friend/stranger driving in the next car you are guilty of breaking this law. 7)Thall shalt not commit adultery. Jesus says if you look at a woman to lust after her you have already committed adultery in your heart. 8)Thall shalt not steal...anything even someones good name through gossip. 9)Thall shalt not lie. 10)Thall shalt not covet. CON-SCIENCE (With knowledge) Upon review of the above commandments your conscience guides you to the knowledge that you have broken every one of these laws. Denying it simply puts you in the position of breaking number nine, again. I always find it amazing when I review these laws. I am found lacking on all these laws in my past life(pre-salvation), and still I am tripping over these in my present walk with Christ (post-salvation). I dare not stand and look to the heavens like the Pharisee in Luke 18:10 and pray to God concerning my good qualities. Instead I realize I stand in the place of the Tax Collector. When I pray to God it sounds something like this "God have mercy on me, the sinner". God did have mercy on me through His Grace in having offered Jesus as a sacrifice to atone for my sins. I am forever thankful because now my debt is paid in full. I am not worthy but still I receive freedom. Praise God for his promise and I must always remember that..."I am a work in progress" but my works or progress does not justify me or take away my sins. Jesus took my place on the cross, so that I would not have to. Because I believe in Jesus and declare him as my Savior I know that when my trial before God is ready to start we will find that my sin docket has been wiped clean, to be remembered no more. Thank you God, and thank you Jesus. I ask God that I never forget that simple prayer..."Have mercy on me Lord, I am the sinner". It is when I forget this simple fact that Satan has the greatest opportunity to tempt me into sin, again. When temptation comes I beg God to have mercy on me, I am the sinner. I am not capable of standing on my own against the gates of hell and only God can protect me from the very evil thoughts of the pleasure of sin that gets me running down that wide path to my own destruction. God have mercy on me, the sinner. You should not ask which law will convict you. All of them will. Believe in Jesus and he will wash you clean. |

9 | what does "Wives Submit" really mean? | Col 3:18 | MWLaine | 181362
Bernadette, Ephesians 5:22-33 Describes the Marriage of Man and Woman to be similar to that of the marriage between Jesus and the church. Jesus loves the church(people) so much that he died for the people so that the all men might live. A husband is told to love[present tense] his wife. Which is acted out in an ongoing second by second love. Even when the wife is being unlovable. Conversely the wife is supposed to respect(present tense] her husband. Which is acted out in an ongoing second by second respect. Even when the husband doesn't deserve it. Eph 5:33 Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. My wife and I struggled for many years, and still do minimally, concerning Gods Word here in Ephesians. But we did get some help in the form of some books. We have read the books by Shanti and Jeff Feldhahn called "For Women Only" and "For Men Only". We both read the book that was supposed to be the others manual and confirmed that the books were "right-on-target" and then we gave them to each other. Quite an eye opener when you realize how differently men and women think and act under identical situations. It is also very enlightening concerning the "Love" and "Respect" part of the equation. And, you are right it is not an absolute dictatorship it is a marriage...a combining of what is good in a woman and what is good in a man into a cohesive unit that is conducive to raising children. Under the Love and Respect umbrella the woman can be happy and so can the man. When you and your husband finally wrangle the idea of Love and Respect into your marriage you will find yourself asking your husband to help make decisions that have an effect on the household and marriage. And he will start to give you freedom through love because you will have proven yourself to be a Proverbs 31:10-31 Wife. But, if you have marriage busting discord in you and your husbands lives you would do well to get into church fellowship with other married couples to take some Marriage Bible Study lessons. Or, see a biblically backed marriage counselor. For what God has joined together let no man(or woman) tear asunder. In the name of Christ may you clasp hands and pray together that Jesus becomes the central focus of your marriage. Then when either participant of the marriage has fallen short in the role they are to play it will be possible for the married couple to still stand face to face and although they appear to be looking into each others faces they can be looking over the shoulder of their loved one to Jesus who will never disappoint us. Amen, MWLaine |

10 | I NEED A TRUE FRIEND THAT IS A CHRISTIAN | Bible general Archive 3 | MWLaine | 181269
To MommieSadie, The Word of God is companionship and should be examined for its richness in the Bible. Read the Book of Love which is John(New Testament) as many times as it takes to have a breakthrough that speaks directly into your heart. Find a good commentary book like "The MacArthur New Testament Commentary Matthew 1-7" to read a true expounding of Jesus' Sermon on The Mount. Let this great expositor John MacArthur help enrich the bible for you that you can see deeper into the Word of God and start to feel the love that exists in Gods Word for you. I would suggest you go to a local large vibrant Holy Spirit filled church that has lots of resources to help you in every way that you need help. Let your local fellow Christian believers shower upon you the Grace of God through their loving and caring actions for you, and with you. But, you must take a step like a baby taking her first faltering step. Take one day at a time and ask for help at your local church. Realize that it may take years to get where you will be a strong enough Christian to realize God has been with you all along. If you have ever listened to a Sermon that caused the hairs on the back of your neck to raise then it is an indication that the Holy Spirit is bearing witness with your consience that the words you are hearing are true. Right now, read this and feel the hair on your neck raise...We who are reading your words feel your pain and want to point you to Jesus who can heal your hurting heart. Know that God will come to you like he came to many of us...in a still small voice and say to you also..."You are a lost lamb". Repent and atone for your sins and put your faith in Jesus that you will find salvation. Also, to protect yourself from making further bad choices that might make your life an even bigger mess do not publish your home address on the internet. There are dangerous people who would love to exploit your vulnerabilities and you do not need further damage caused by someone you thought was a Christian. In the name of Christ I pray for His peace to come to you and bring you everlasting peace through salvation. Love you, MWLaine |

11 | Mat 5:27-28. Adultery. | Prov 5:1 | MWLaine | 178151
A little reading may be required on your part to start with...Examine Proverbs 5:1-23 and then Song of Songs. Proverbs 5 is a warning against adultery and then Song of Songs is how you are to love your wife or husband. In Song of Songs it is described as being good that you long for your wife/husband. So it WOULD NOT be inappropriate to have a deep desire for your own wife/husband. It is appropriate, though, to warn about IDOL WORSHIP, in that, if your lust is simply for her/his flesh in the belief that you can satisfy some urge or spiritual connection then IDOL WORSHIP might be the problem. Only Jesus can satisfy your true spiritual needs. In dissecting your statement concerning the idea that without being able to look upon someone with lust would prevent your having a relationship sounds to me you have a selfish motive to consume upon your lusts the flesh of the "friend" you speak of. The second greatest commandment comes from Jesus and is to "Love one another as you would desire to be loved". This might include a spirit of giving, caring, compassion, helpfulness, kindness, tender words, respect, love, etceteras. All of these should be aimed at your intended spouse which is what a successful marriage is made of. If a marriage is simply about satisfying ones desires through sexual intercourse then it would be destined for failure because beauty fades and visual lust supposes that the object of your affection continues to hold your attention through its continued beauty. I assure you that lithe young beauty fades as children and age come into the picture so you need to examine your motives to determine where you truly stand when it comes to marriage. Unfortunately in your statement "be in a relationship" does not say to me...marriage it says to me... can't I just use this friend like a Kleenex and then throw her away. Don't sully a woman that might someday get married to a man who wants her for his wife and would desire Gods blessing with a pure undefiled woman.
12 | ? bruise him on the heel | Gen 3:15 | MWLaine | 177316
Something of interest to you. When the verse speaks of..."her seed" we recognize a prophecy of the virgin birth. Men are generally spoken of as having seed and not women. The person spoken of in He shall bruise you on the head speaks of Jesus defeating Satan, but he shall bruise you on the heel speaks of Satans role in bringing Jesus to the cross. The resurrection of Jesus and what it means to those who repent and believe in Jesus will continually frustrate and confound the evil one. Yeah!!!
13 | How to witness to an Islamic? | Rom 9:30 | MWLaine | 164348
lebo, Very problematic. I know that those of Islamic Faith believe that Jesus the Christ was only a prophet, and is not greater than Muhammed. I also have determined that works are very important to those of the Muslim Faith...as in the requirement to Pilgrimmage to Mecca at least once in a Muslims lifetime. My own attempt with an Iranian Muslim, who had become a friend at work, helped me to understand some things about the Muslim world. I know that it is very important to have a friendship/relationship with the Middle-Eastern person to whom you are witnessing. I found that Massoud Banan and I became friends and only then did he open up enough that we could hold deeper conversations concerning religion. Hopefully you realize that the branch of Ibrahim's(Abraham) family tree that was Ishmael is the well from which the Islam Faith springs. Search for and review the site on the internet concerning the Hajj and Mecca to learn a little about their holy sites that surround the event of Hagar taking Ishmael and leaving from Sarah. You will find that a well that sprung up at Ishmaels feet is considered to be part of the Holy site of Mecca. A last word of warning be very cautious about nay saying the oddities of the objects concerning Mecca or the Hajj. Massoud did not like it when I was astounded about the Black Rock in the obelisk in the center of Mecca, and the black room at the top of the tower. I feel it is very Satanic and only laughed slightly which offended Massoud. Avoid any nay-saying comparative assessment between the religions. I stuck later with speaking of my Baptism and the way my life was changing once I had accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour. That seemed to be the best way I could shine the light of God as a simple reflection of what was happening and good in my life. Let God do the rest. I selected a verse in Romans(9:30) which speaks of law and the pursuit of law to obtain salvation as being a stumbling stone. Faith in Jesus Christ begets righteousness and Jesus is the stumbling stone for many who believe that through works they can attain salvation. I believe the Muslim faith is very much about works. |
