1 | The point of God's questions to Job? | Job | LimeJuice | 40285
What point is God driving home to Job? That He has power beyond man's power .... that He takes care of things that we cannot even comprehend or understand .... His ways are not our ways .... nor His thoughts our thoughts .... He may have reasons for doing things that we do not understand right now or ever .... He is the breath of life in life. Love, Lime |

2 | baptism | Luke 3:3 | LimeJuice | 40284
Romans 2:25ÊÊÊCircumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. The covenant of circumcision seemed to be the Old Covenant of the law .... but those who had been circumcised broke the law and so needed to repent and have the Lord repair their hearts and lives, baptism was a way for them to come forward and declare their need for God and ask for His forgivness and new life through Jesus Christ. .... what do you think, angel? |

3 | RELIGION HOMEWORK HELP | Rom 12:2 | LimeJuice | 40279
My conversation with others seems to have degenerated, Guardian Seraphim. I hope that you have received enough help to write your essay. I came back to your question to look at it again, and see if I can help further, because that is what christians are supposed to do for each other, not argue. ........................................................................It has been a long time since I saw the play, but the things that made an impression upon me were ...... the way Christ was so gentle and loved so much and gave of Himself until exhaustion ......... the love and awe that Mary Magdalene felt when she was with the Lord .......... getting to know Jesus as Lord and being so in awe of the Love that He showed, which was different than any other love she had ever known ........... the pharisees, of course, were there .......... Herod, Pontious Pilate ...... Barabus ...... the cross ....... I hope this helps. Mainly the gospel, that Jesus Christ is the Messiah of the World, came and lived a sinless life, loved and helped and taught people, gave of Himself relentlessly, and suffered greatly and died on the cross for our sins. Love ya, Lime |

5 | Can faith alone with out works save you? | NT general Archive 1 | LimeJuice | 40064
Faith without works is dead, but works cannot save. It's like the choo choo train ..... the engine is faith and the caboose is works ..... you can't really have true works without faith .... |

6 | luke 18:22, | Luke 18:22 | LimeJuice | 39946
I believe, that to get Jesus' full message, you need to know, as Paul Harvey would say, "the rest of the story." The rest of the story is that, after the man went away sad, for he had many possessions, the disciples spoke with him about the matter. Jesus said it would be harder for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a wealthy man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but with God, all things are possible. Therefore would Jesus ask this man to accomplish something that He knew He couldn't accomplish? Well, He did ask him to, but why? So the man would know that works cannot save him. Would God demand of us to follow the law, knowing that we could not do it? A camel cannot go through the eye of a needle. However, with God, all things are possible. Through the blood of Jesus, we can all enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So yes, it is good to give our possessions to those who are in need, yet we can only do so (in a right manner) through walking in the Spirit. These are actions that come about only through Christ working in us, not us doing something for ourselves to earn our way to heaven, but purely doing it through the love of God because we truly care about others and want to please God. Those are my views about this passage .... that Jesus is saying that, through mercy we enter the Kingdom of God, God makes this possible, but it is not possible for man to do it on his own. It seems that, throughout the gospels, wherever men thought they were holy, Jesus showed them that they were not. There is always a step further that we can go to be "holier" ..... The man, who, thinks he is holy because he has not committed adultery, Jesus shows him that if he even thinks of adultery he is guilty of it .... Jesus showing that God looks at our hearts, and there is always more that we "could" do to be holy ..... meaning, we are not God, and will never be God .... I have not said this as well as I could have, I had to take my son to school in the middle of it :-) I hope it was clear enough though for you to get an idea of my thoughts on the matter. In Christ .... LimeJuice |

9 | If God gave us brains, why wouldn't he w | Mark 16:16 | LimeJuice | 39927
I do not blindly believe either, I use my brain to believe based on what I experience through all of my senses ...... does this help? I believe there is a difference between blind faith and real faith. Love, LimeJuice
10 | can you be commited without be pre | Matt 26:34 | LimeJuice | 39925
Oh my goodness What comes to mind is when Peter forsook the Lord at the cross. Three times he denied knowing Him. But we all know how committed Peter was to the Lord. God loves us and keeps us. He takes our deep wish of the heart to be committed, and then works with us so that we are able to turn areas of our life over to Him, bit by bit, this has been my experience. I hope that helps. 11 | I HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING THE SABBATH | Bible general Archive 1 | LimeJuice | 39924
Good question, Pam, I do not know. I do know it seems to matter a great deal to Seventh Day Adventists. I have another question, why does it matter to you which day is the Sabbath? To me it does not matter, since Jesus said, sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath. However, it is a curiosity. In Christ, LimeJuice |
