1 | What is Secular Humanism? | John 15:5 | KINDNESS | 15232 | ||
Webster says "secular" relates to worldly or temporal concerns. Our courts have designated "Secular Humanism" a religion. I read years ago in the Manifesto of SH that they do not believe in the supernatural and stresses an individual's dignity and worth and capacity for self-realization through reason. Scripture teaches "we can do nothing without Jesus Christ". We are to have the mind of Christ who humbled Himself and made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant etc. Phil 2:5-11 We are encouraged in the Scriptures to honor God with our lives and wait patiently for God to reward our obedience in His time. Temporial concerns can be our enemy. By faith we trust like Jesus in Isa 53 and 1 Peter2:23 that God will set all things streight in His time. Secular Humanism is an enemy of The Christian faith. We have the Reformation. They have the Renaissance. One has to do mostly with the mind and the other with the spirit and soul as well as the body. Kindness |
