1 | forgiven or not | Psalm | Joe-Joe2468 | 179247
The salvation we receive at conversion is initial salvation from the stain of Adam's sin that we all had a part in since we all were IN HIM at the time, Adam being the first man. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— Though we didn't do anything ourselves yet we are held accountable for Adam's sin and bear it in our flesh. If not, then why do we physically still grow old and die? No, we sill bear the effects of it. Once "saved" converted we acknowledge our place in Adam's original sin and ask forgiveness of it. we are "saved" but salvation is not complete for us yet. From that point on we are responsible for our OWN sin. Rom 10:10 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This isn't a one time event. It's an open opportunity to receive forgiveness whenever our eyes are opened by the Holy Spirit to see the truth of our condition. Ask and ye shall receive. We are saved - we are being saved - we will ultimately be saved. This is our condition. This is why we must crucify the flesh with its evil desires, taking up our cross and follow Him DAILY, being that living sacrifice each day. Evil desires lead to Temptation, Temptation leads to Sin (separation from God), and Sin leads to Death. Jesus took the pain of death unto Himself that we (and/or animals in our stead) no longer have to die physically and spiritiually for sins. If you don't take responsibility for your sins by confessing them and asking forgiveness then fine...BUT you have judgment to contend with. 2 Corinthians 5:10-11 (New King James Version) 10 For we must ALL appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences. So what then is the fear of the Lord to us? To fear the coming judgement. There we stand not IN CHRIST, but on our own merits before Him. There we are examined to see if we have let Him complete His work in us - conforming us to the image of His Son - to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Fail judgement and Jesus Himself will deal with you. Revelation 3:5 Thus shall he who conquers (is victorious) (overcomes) be clad in white garments (robes of righteousness), and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him [as Mine] and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels. |

2 | What privileges Jesus give us | Rom 12:1 | Joe-Joe2468 | 179245
We have none. We are to be a living sacrifice, dying daily. We then have the same privilages that any sacrifice has...the privilage of dying for another. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. |
