1 | Repentance is Sorry or Walk From Sin? | Matt 3:8 | Jayell | 206769
Read 2 Cor 7:8-11, I do not believe that it's simply saying "sorry" and moving on. Repentance is to stop a current direction to turn around and face God. This can only be accomplished by His grace ( 2 Tim 2:25 ) He alone can lead us from darkness to Light ( Rom 2:4 ). "Sorry" will never cut it, that's the worlds apology or better yet; Excuse for sin. 3 | Abel,s sacrifice acceptable, Cain's not? | Genesis | Jayell | 192910
To give an answer in-short it would be that Abel had faith in God and Cain did not. The bible tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. I don't believe that is was the offerings themselves but the offerers. Before the tabernacle was built God told Moses He only wanted those with willing hearts to give. Paul echoes that in Corinthians when he says,"Give according to what you have purposed in your heart." It would not have made any difference to God what Cain had offered because He knew Cain's heart. Sorry I didn't give scripture. Jayell |

4 | Still don't have an answer | Bible general Archive 3 | Jayell | 192394
We certainly pray for the lost but Paul is saying not to have fellowship with them, after all what does light have to do with darkness or righteousness with unrighteousness?(2 Cor 6:14) A hypocrite is a person who says one thing but continues to do another but that's not Paul's focus. Some of them could have been saved but it is our responsibility to separate ourselves (the local church) from sin (5:9-11) And God will the ultimate Judge of man's salvation (5:13a). I truly believe that God has predestined men and women to be saved, so that means those who refuse are not chosen. If God doesn't prepare our hearts to respond we never will (Acts 13:48). Jayell |

5 | Who is "Father God"? | Mark 14:36 | Jayell | 188375
Are you seriously considering Silvia Brown when it comes to prayer? Silvia also believes in a mother god which is pagan idolatry. Rich, you should know that God forbids any fellowship with witchcraft. (Lev 19:31; 20:6)
6 | who is jesus christ and what is his mis | 2 Cor 5:19 | Jayell | 175844
Jesus is God (John 10:33;Phil 2:6) and His mission wasn't to the world, but to God the Father (John 4:34;17:4). Jayell |

7 | Is this scripture? | Bible general Archive 3 | Jayell | 175767
That is certainly not a Christian mindset, Jesus faced death on the cross for the joy set before Him (Heb 12:2). That should be our desire for Him. Paul wrote, "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain" (Phil 1:21). It's not about making us stronger, but for us to be more and more like Christ (2 cor 12:9). Though man may kill this body he can never kill the soul (Matt 10:28), he only hastens me to see the Lord as He is. We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord (2 Cor 5:8). Jayell |

8 | WHO SENT PRIESTS, LEVITES FROM JERUSALE | John 1:19 | Jayell | 175725
Most likely the Sanhedrin, which was the highest ruling body and court of justice among the Jews. Sanhedrin doesn't appear in scripture, instead we have the words assembly or council (John 11:47;Luke 22:66;Acts 4:15). It was made up of 71 members,(Priests,Elders,Scribes,Pharisees,Sadducees etc.) The Jews trace the origin of this to Numbers 11:16.
9 | The serpents curse | Gen 3:15 | Jayell | 175405
Jesus once said, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" (John 3:6). When God spoke in Gen 3:15 He was speaking of Christ (John 1:14) as the physical offspring of Eve, yet Himself God who is Spirit (John 4:24). That offspring includes all believers in Jesus Christ; though we are flesh, we are children of God (Rom 8:14-17). The seed of Satan is basically the same, even thoough he is a spirit he has human seed. That's clear from John 8:44 where Jesus calls the unbelievers at hand; Children of Satan. Genesis 3:15 divides into 2 catagories: BELIEVERS AND UNBELIEVERS. One is either a child of the Most High God or a child of the Most Low Satan. The Truth in Love JAYELL |

10 | wipe your feet of their existance | Luke 10:10 | Jayell | 175375
If you are truly seeking the truth then the "Wiping off of the feet" doesn't directly apply to you. That was done to when a person out -right rejected the message given. When the Jews in Corinth opposed and blasphemed,Paul simply shook his garment (Acts 18:6). It was a jesture that the truth was there, but opposed. As Jesus said "It will be used as a witness against them" in the DAY of JUDGEMENT! I am thankful for you seeking, but the fact remains: Jesus said, "He that is not with me is against me" (Matt 12:30). There is no middle ground, if you were to die today all the truth that you've heard till now, but refused will testify against you. That's why the bible says, "Today if you will hear his voice, harden not your heart (Hebrews 3:7,8). I do not believe that you are beyond help, because God never promised to help anyone. He promised to SAVE those who believe in Jesus Christ. But I will say this: "He that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is in Danger of eternal damnation (Mark 3:29). I believe that a person can reject so much truth that they will come to a point where they can no longer accept any truth. (Heb 6:4-6; 2 Peter 2:20,21; Luke 11:24-26) That the Unpardonable Sin. My prayer for you is to embrace the ministry of the Holy Spirit, as He reveals the truths concerning Christ, Sin, Salvation etc. As God Said at the beginning, "My Spirit shall not always strive with man." (Genesis 6:3)
11 | Cause of anger in children? | Jer 17:9 | Jayell | 174403
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners (Romans 5:19a). That deep seeded anger is called SIN and we all recieved it from our birth parents and they recieved it from theirs (all the way back to Adam). "Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin ented into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12). Every child has to be taught to do good, the evil is already in us. I have heard it said "The selfishness, greed, anger etc. a baby displays would be murderous if he wasn't so helpless!" The bible says "By nature we are children of wrath" (Ephesians 2:3)cf Romans 7:20. Sin is the cause but thank God that we can be BORN AGAIN and that is by through faith in Jesus Christ. That's a decision every child must make on his own. SIN CAN'T WIN. (1 CORINTHIANS 15:54-57) THE TRUTH JAYELL |

12 | Pastor preaches about men body parts! | Luke 22:26 | Jayell | 172649
I believe that you should pray for him, because it seems that he's dealing with a personal issue. Nevertheless Satan has surely gotten a foothold in the man's life. Paul wrote much about a REAL MAN, "Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and GAVE HIMSELF for it, so ought men to love their wives as THEIR OWN BODIES. He that loves his wife loves himself, for no man ever hated his own flesh; BUT NOURISHES and CHERISHES it, just AS THE LORD does the church (Eph 5:25,28,29). Now, if a man's love wills him to give his own life for his wife, than surely washing dishes, changing diapers, holding his wife etc. should easily flow from that Love through that man. He might as well call God himself a wimp, because He said He would wipe Jerusalum as a man wipes a dish (2 Kings 21:13). Since Satan couldn't get Christ to sin against God, he tries to get man to sin against Christ. If I were to treat my wife that way, than what I've done is opened a door of my home to Satan. But I am not ignorant of his devises (2 Cor 2:11). This is the very reason we need discernment in the church, we should not believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God (1 John4:1). Your church should deal with this NOW! The next 6 weeks could effect eternity for many. THE TRUTH IN LOVE JAYELL |

13 | Acts 2:2 | 1 Cor 14:6 | Jayell | 172316
I have heard debates that support and do-away with tongues in modern day. Although I have an opinion on this I would rather not get in to that right now. One thing that we know for sure is tongues were a sign for the unbeliever (1 Cor 14:22) and needed interpretation (14:5,13). I'm unclear on your reasons for wanting tongues, but I would like to offer some advise. Since by the Holy Spirit we have the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16) we should be proclaiming the mind and counsel of God. Which is what Paul means by prophecy (14:1) this for the building up of the Body of Christ (14:3,4). I want to submit to you when, you speak the truth to an unbeliever, whether a neighbor or co-worker: YOU ARE USING A TONGUE THAT NEEDS NO INTERPRETATION. The Truth in Love JAYELL |

14 | John 13 footwashing is it praticable | John | Jayell | 164609
Just listen to the words Jesus spoke while performing this deed, He wasn't instituting foot washing. Jesus was teaching them Christian life and service. For those in highest authority (pastors, bishops) to humble themselves and minister to the lowest persons in the pews. (Matt 20:26,27)
15 | why satan wasn't dealt with right away? | Rom 16:20 | Jayell | 164352
Look at it this way; when a person does something bad he is thrown in jail, correct? When Satan and the angels rebeled against God they were cast down and chained also. (2 Peter 2:4. Jude 6) Scrpture tells us "UNTIL THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT" and that is what Jesus Christ brought in; (John 5:22;9:39) God foretold this in Gen 3:15. So, the devil who is a sinner from the beginniing (1 John 3:8) an adversary of God and man (1 Peter 5:8) was found GUILTY. His trial was held at calvery! He's like a man cast into prison, brought before Judge and Jury JESUS CHRIST, tried, convicted and sentenced. Now He awaits the Judge who will return EXECUTIONER (Revelation 19:11-16). And we all await that the DOOM OF SATAN. THE TRUTH IN LOVE |

16 | Does the Bible tell us to go to Church? | Zeph 3:18 | Jayell | 164089
Jesus thought it good to gather in the synagogue (Mark 1:21) to teach and do miracles. see Matt 4:23,12:9. The apostles gathered together to worship in the temple (Acts 3:1). You'r exactly right going to church doesn't save because it's not by works. It's the fruit (LOVE) that brings us together (John 13:34,34). Our unity in the worship of our Lord can't be taken lightly (Heb 10:25). Where we are so is He! (Matt 18:20) THRUTH IN LOVE |

17 | ONCE SAVED DOCTRINE | 1 John | Jayell | 163971
The penalty of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life (Rom 6:23). THRUOGH JESUS CHRIST work of redemption our salvation is complete (Heb 5:9). Our dept was paid by Christ at calvery, His blood has purchased our souls (1 Cor 6:20). We become God's children (Rom 8:15-17). Here's the key, unlike a normal adoption God gives us new birth (John 3;3) along with this comes a new desire for a God's will (Heb 8:10). Christ-like character (Eph 2:10, Gal 2;20) True beleivers indeed may fall frequently and foully, but not totally nor finally from God (Rom 8:35-39); the purpose and power of God (Eph 1:11), the purchase and prayer of Christ (John 17;2,9,11,12,18-26) the promise of the gospel (John 4:14) the everlasting covenant that God has made with them (Heb.10:15-18) ordering in all things and sure, the indwelling of the Spirit which has sealed us until the day of redemption (Eph.1:13,14). 18 | What do you think Genesis 6:1-4 means? | Gen 6:1 | Jayell | 161135
Hello,I believe when we take these scriptures in context we will find our answer. I believe that the sons of God are Seths sons(GEN 4:25,26). Gen 6:2 says they took them wives,Jesus told the Sadducees at the resurrection we won't marry because will as angels of God(MATT 22:30) Furthermore in GEN 6:3,6 God specificly speaks toward MAN,nothing implicating angels. Man crossed crossed the the line drawn by God(GEN 3:15) Seth sons and Cains Daughters(GEN 4 :11,16) For further confirmation read the genealogy of Mary (Luke 3:38). I hope this is helpful.
19 | Who is "He", Christ or God? | Eph 1:10 | Jayell | 160781
Christ means;"ANOITED ONE" make no mistake about it Jesus Christ is God. As Christ the Son "Jesus" came to earth to redeem men unto Himself. Eph. 1:10 is speaken of God the Father and Son. If you go back to Ps. 2:4-8; this is the Father making a covenant with the Son. In verse 8 the Father promises the Son the world as an inheritance. The gathering together in Christ both which in heaven and which are in earth "Eph. 1:10" is that inheritance. Jesus as the Son of God was obedient to the Father and came to died for our sins "Phil. 2:6-8." God the Father being pleased with the Son gathers all things in Him "Dan. 2:4."
20 | Is Jesus was another of God's tests? | John 1:1 | Jayell | 160667
The church that you attend is absolutely right in worshipping Jesus, because that is what the Holy Spirit does(JOHN 15:26,16:14)HE GLORIFIES JESUS! Many religions believe that they are truly praising God,(but they're not)they can't know HIM without first believing on CHRIST.(ROM 5:10)see John 8:19. Jesus made it possible (by his death)for human beings to have a relationship with God. Jesus made it clear to us that He is GOD never should be referred to as a good man or teacher, the Spirit leads us to Jesus and He leads us to the Father(Matt 28:19) You must examine yourself if you feel. By praising/worshiping Jesus you are following the first commandment. Unless you believe that Jesus is God you surely die in your sin (JOHN 8:24).
