1 | Is this phrase in scripture? | 1 Cor 10:12 | JJO | 67975
Hello, the scripture you are referring to is in 1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. I need this one alot! We were just discussing this at study last week. That is, some endure what seems as major trials like Joesph, Job, etc, while others go throught milder adversity but the bottom line is that God knows each person; their strengths and weaknesses and what they can endure; this helps me when alot when I have questions about why some are more afflicted then others etc. Have a good day |

2 | Do you pay tithes on whole check or part | Acts 15:1 | JJO | 64307
I've heard varied answers on this topic from various different leaders, but more often then not, the answer is we give based on your net pay after tax since we do not have access to the amount witheld (unless of course, we plot ahead of time to be way overwitheld to get a big tax refund, but, I wont go down that road!). I think the amount you give is a freedom issue and is between you and God. God knows our priorities and where ALL our money goes.
