1 | Friend of God and friend of the world? | Matt 6:24 | Elvira | 129503
Greetings tgbishop God requires the whole heart, and will not share it with the world. When two masters hinder each other no man can serve both. He who holds to the world and loves it must despise God. And he who loves God, must give up the frendship of the world. Love Elvira |

2 | God's possesions | 1 Cor 3:17 | Elvira | 129499
Greetings to you Juanchies; 1 Cor. 3:17 tells us that God's temple is sacred, and we are that temple. The individual person that has been born again or regenerated is a temple of God inhabited by the Holy Spirit. Because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1st Cor. 6:19); and also our bodies are members of Christ himself (1st Cor. 6:15) we must keep it sacred or sanctify. We must keep our bodies from sin, particularly sexual sin. When one commits sexual sin, he/she sins against his own body (1st Cor. 6:18). The bottom line is this:- God hate sin to the point where he has no dealings with it. He sent his ONLY son Jesus to the death of the cross to die for the sins of the world. If God goes this far to redeem mankind back to him because of the love he has for us then surely he wants us to set apart our bodies for his use, honor and glory ONLY. Romans 6:14 tells us sin shall not be our master, because we are not under law but under grace. Love Elvira |
