1 | why did jesus think God had forsaken him | Mark 15:30 | Draco04 | 116952
Easy God had to turn his back on Jesus. In Mark 15:30-35 it talks of the sky being black and a shadow over the land. The reason for this is that God is Holy, God cannot be close to sin hence the reason WE need forgiveness so when Jesus died he became sin he was covered with it. Now you have to understand that Jesus had never in his entire life been seperated from his father but when He became sin God had to turn away from Jesus because of the sin. But as we all know when he went down to hell he conquered sin b/c he was inoccent and was in a word reunited with his Father.
2 | WHY DON'T WE TEACH THE CROSS? | Bible general Archive 2 | Draco04 | 116864
Human ignorance and lack of faith; when we are born again we are no longer subject to the curse of sin or the curse of flesh if we choose. Just because we are born again does not mean we will never again sin we have that choice but most generally we dont know that or we ignore sometimes. You need not teach the cross to Born agian believers for that is how there faith was established, the fact that when you are born again you can escape sin but "YOU!!" have to resist it you have to choose to toss away sin thats what must be taught. But God knows we are not perfect and will sin regardless that is why we are forgiven unconditionally. 1John 1:9 |

3 | Why evil and suffering? | John 16:32 | Draco04 | 116863
There will be suffering and unrest and destruction in this world because the devil and his demons run this this world. The devil "the prince of this world" will cause chaos, the only threats to him are Christians we are to win people back to Christ and subdue this world. In Christ Jesus we can have dominion in this world if we choose but we have to stand. There will be no peace until Jesus returns he tells us there wil be trouble in John 16:32-33, "But a time is coming, and has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. 33"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." |
