1 | WILL FAMILY ACCEPT MORMON SPOUSE | Acts 1:1 | DoggieGrace | 43583
Your question is very complex. Willingly choosing to disobey God does have its consequences. However, God is always willing to forgive when we are willing to repent (turn around and live for Him and not ourselves) Also if we are truly born again believers, we know that when we sin and confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins. (I John 1:9). You need counseling but you need it from a Biblical standpoint. I don't know what church affiliation you have. Since your husband is willing to go there with you, he must not be too sold out on his Mormon beliefs. Feel free to email me personally. Being a woman myself, I am at least willing to listen to you, pray for you, and ask the Lord for Scriptures that might encourage you. I pray the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. 3 | Acts 2:14a 36-47 | Luke 13:3 | DoggieGrace | 43577
Repentance is having a change of mind about the direction you are going. To repent from sin is to have a change of mind about to sin. But changing your mind must be followed by changing your walk. You cannot walk the Christian life on your own. You must have the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling you. This comes from realizing you are a sinner separated from God and that Jesus Christ, His Son, came to save you from your sins. You repent (change your mind) and ask Him to take control of your life. You confess your sin to Him and ask Him to take your sins away. When you are water baptized, you are giving the outward sign of what has already happened to the inward person. You have become a brand new creation in Christ Jesus. Now, you want to show that in word picture form. Romans 6 talks about how we are baptized into His death, burial, and raised up to NEWNESS OF LIFE. It is your testimony to others that you are NOT ashamed. It is completely identifying yourself with Him. In the Greek, the word is described as a white cloth being dipped in red dye and then taking on the color of the red dye. The Bible says we will be clothed in Jesus. He becomes our complete identity. Do you need Scripture references for all of this? Will you email me at DoggieGrace@msn.com ..... I would love to talk to you more about it. God bless you! |

4 | Dress (clothing) at church? | Bible general Archive 1 | DoggieGrace | 43567
I know that in the Old Testament there is a Scripture that says "Worship the Lord in Holy Array" (Dress)...of course, the priests of the Old Testament had very specific directions about dress when they were in the temple. The New Testament is very clear that it is the INWARD man God is concerned about, not the OUTWARD appearances. Email me if you want to discuss more scriptures on our Bible community. 6 | Is it ok to question God after a tragety | Bible general Archive 1 | DoggieGrace | 43563
Yes, it is o.k. to question God. We have many Biblical examples of this. David questioned. Job questioned. Jeremiah questioned. Even JESUS questioned on the cross "Father, why has Thou forsaken Me?"...As long as the question takes You to God and His Word to find the answers...The question is your way of seeking God when you don't know what to do or why things happen. For sake of time, I'll stop here. If you want some Scriptures to back up some of the things I am commenting on, please email me at: DoggieGrace@msn.com. God bless you. Let us know if we can pray for the tragedy you are facing. Let me know on the email you send. |

7 | should red sea be reed sea instead ? | Bible general Archive 1 | DoggieGrace | 43562
Would it matter? If it wasn't as deep, then the miracle is that God still drowned all those Egyptians in it! There is always someone wanting to discount the Word of God. I know it is the Red Sea, but regardless, God delivered the Israelites by parting the sea and drowning their enemies. 4hope - email me sometime - I read your member profile and think we could enjoy chatting about the Lord. I manage a few Christian communities on the website. I know you are a busy lady, but you could come in and visit with us in the communities anytime! Email me if you would like to know more! 8 | Are we expected to keep the sabath? | Bible general Archive 1 | DoggieGrace | 43561
Jesus said in the New Testament under the New and Living Way of knowing the Father, through a personal relationship to Jesus, apart from the Old Testament law, that THE SABBATH was made FOR MAN and that He was the LORD OF THE SABBATH. Some believe that since the Jews celebrated the Sabbath on Saturday that we should do the same. Most Christians who celebrate the Lord's resurrection choose Sunday to worship Him and set apart for Him because this is when He rose from the dead, three days after the Friday He was crucified. The Bible also says that some people are convicted to honor certain days and others have a freedom not to. That seems strange, but that's the kind of freedom we have in Christ Jesus. He has set us free from the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. We now choose to live a life that pleases Him out of our love for Him, not out of any obligation or fear of punishment. PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT ALL FEAR. Email me if you want the Scripture references that I am referring to in this. DoggieGrace@msn.com
9 | Where is God when I need him? | Bible general Archive 1 | DoggieGrace | 41340
God is right there. He revealed Himself in the Old Testament as El Roi - The God Who Sees He revealed Himself as El Elyon - The Sovereign God- the ruler of all - The question on suicide is NOT will you go to hell or not. I believe there are probably true believers who for what ever reason they took their life are in heaven, BUT THAT SAID, I know it is NOT GOD'S WILL that you should perish, but that you should have EVERLASTING LIFE and that would be ABUNDANT LIFE. It is horrible that you have experienced a rape. I can only imagine the horror. Know this. God is El Roi - the God who sees - and He saw what was done to you and He will punish the evil when He comes to punish sin and evildoers. The man will not get off from God's wrath. God is angry about what was done to you. He loves you. He sees you. He sees you hurting. I pray that you will turn to Him and not run away from Him. Please e-mail me and let's talk about this more. Send the e-mail to: DoggieGrace@msn.com He can take all your pain and use it to minister to others. He has allowed even this awful tragedy to bring about His glory in your life and to use you for His service. I have plenty of scriptures to back up what I am telling you. I prefer to minister to you through my own e-mail. Please send one my way. God bless you, Unsure. I pray you will become more sure than ever of His unending love for you. Write me soon! Love, Brenda |

10 | Prov 3:5-6; Col 2:6; Rom 8:28 | Bible general Archive 1 | DoggieGrace | 41243
Acknowledge God and do not trust your own wisdom (Prov.3)Walk in Christ the same way you received in (by faith)-Col.2:6; Rom.8:28-God causes all things to work together for God to those who are CALLED according to His purposes. Not sure why these verses were given to enhance one another, but certaining: We must know God through a realtionship with Jesus Christ by faith. Then we must fully trust Him in all areas of our life and not lean on our own understanding. Thirdly, whatever happens, we are to know that God is working it all "together" to fulfill His purposes in our life, which ultimately is to bring Him glorify through His son living in us. |
