1 | tongues | Eph 4:14 | Brendac | 153848
When you have been baptised in the Holy Spirit and you have the evidence of speaking in other tongues you must remember it will only be one word at a time maybe. When a baby starts learning to talk they start with one word at a time. If you just keep on in your praying repeating that word that you have got, your tongues language will increase. So don't give up! |

2 | Hebrew names of God and their meanings? | Bible general Archive 2 | Brendac | 115588
There are three names for God and the rest stem from those. They are : Elohim, Jehova and Adonai Elohim : All powerful creator El is the root of Elohim. El describes God’s greatness/glory and displays God’s power and sovereignty. El means strength or strong one. Alah, the verb from which Elah and Elohim come means to bind oneself by oath, i.e. faithfulness. Elohim is a plural noun with a singular meaning which describes the divine trinity of the Godhead. Yahwe (Heb)/Jehova (Eng) : THE SELF-EXISTENT ONE, WHO REVEALS HIMSELF AND CHANGES NOT When Jehova is referred to in the Word, LORD is always written in capital letters. Adonai ADONAI – MASTER, OWNER OR LORD When God is referred to as Adonai in the Word Lord is always written in lower case. Adonai can be applied to both God and man. When applied to man it is written with a lower case “l” and here it means master or husband. Then you get El Shaddai. It stems from the word "field" as fields produce abundance. It is translated "breast" or "the many breasted one" which signifies nourishment and productiveness. In this sense God is shown as the One Who is mjore than enough/He Who is all sufficient. El Elyon - Most High or Most High God. Gen 14:17-24 El Olam : Everlasting God. It is the equivalent of the Greek aion, signifying age or dispensation. Olam expresses the idea of secrecy or hidingness. The everlasting God is therefore the name of Deity in virtue of whcih He is the God whose wisdom has divided all time and eternity into the mystery of successive ages or dispensations. It is not merely that he is everlasting, but that He is God over everlasting things. Eph 1:9, 10; 3:3-6 There are three names compounded with Yahwe : LORD God, Lord LORD, and LORD of Hosts. 3 | where did Jesus go after dieing? | Col 2:15 | Brendac | 115583
Jesus went and fought a spiritual battle. He went to hell, stripped the devil of all his power/authority and took the keys of hell. Don't forget when Adam and Eve sinned they basically gave the earth and everything on the earth to satan and he became the god of this earth. Before the death of Jesus he had power/authority given to him by Adam and Eve. Jesus went and stripped him of that power/authority. (Colossians 2:13-15. Matthew 12:29 is actually prophetic. Jesus bound satan and then spoilt his goods. See also John 12:30-32, Heb 2:14, 15, 1 John 3:8, Gen 3:15 Matthew 28:18, 19 All authority given to Jesus in heaven AND ON EARTH. So he had to have stripped satan of his authority. These days all the devil can do is give us thoughts and ideas, it is up to us whether we act on those negative/evil thoughts, but he has no other power whatsoever over us. Jesus then also gave us all authority over satan. That is why when Jesus rose from the dead He rose totally triumphant!! See Luke 4:6 |
