2 | Is THE SABBATH ON A SATURDAY | John 20:19 | "Here I am Lord" | 109243
Here is a BIble study i put together on the Sabbath totally from the Bible. One of God’s most beautiful gifts to all of mankind The creation story On each day of the week Jesus created everything to make this new world perfect for His beings that He would create. Beings that would be unique in the universe for these beings would be made in the image of God. (Genesis 1: 26- 27) After Jesus spoke everything into existence, on the sixth day, He came, knelt upon His new earth. As Jesus knelt He started to form, out of the dust, a hand, then an arm, a leg finally He was done. As He looked at the body He had one thing left to do, and Jesus bent down He blew the breath of life into the man and he awoke. (Genesis 2:7) Now after the man awoke he noticed that all the animals had a partner, yet he was all alone. The man went to God with this, the man was put into a deep sleep and from a rib in his side woman was made. (Genesis 2: 19- 21) All was perfect on earth, so what were man and woman to do on their first day? What was God to do after He completed His perfecting art of creating it? God decided to make a memorial of all that He had created; He wanted their first day to be a holy day to remember the God that had made them, and to dwell on all that He had done for them. This day would be for them the best day of all, a day to come together with their creator and worship Him. How would you have liked to be there that day, when the man and woman spent time face to face with their creator and sought a deeper relationship with Him who was the God of all things? There is a way that we can each week take part in what Adam and Eve did, and we can do that by taking part in the gift that God gave to all humanity that creation week. On the seventh day of the week after all the work of creation was complete God, and His newly created beings, rested, and God hallowed the Sabbath day and blessed it. (Genesis 2:1- 3) We can see through the Bible how the Sabbath has been an immense blessing throughout time. We can see that the great patriarchs kept the Sabbath, Moses (Exodus 16:23- 29) , Solomon (2 Chronicles 2:4), Daniel, we can see that Jesus and the apostles kept the Sabbath, and also how after Jesus comes and re creates this earth to be what it was meant to be we will all come together and worship the true living God on Sabbath. But how do we know which day is the Sabbath? Yes we can see from creation that it is the seventh day of the week, and the Bible proves in many places that the seventh day is Saturday. We can look at the account of the crucifixion in Mark (15: 42) that Jesus died on the preparation day. Now everyone recognizes that Christ died on Friday, and we can also see from Mark (16: 1-2) that Christ rose on the first day of the week, and everyone also recognizes that Christ rose on Sunday, so logically what day is in between? It is Saturday. Isn’t it beautiful that even in Jesus’ death He kept the Sabbath? So what does it mean to keep the Sabbath? The Sabbath is mentioned 160 times in the King James Version, the First day, which refers to Sunday is only mentioned 8 times. First we will go to the first place the Sabbath is mentioned. Gen 2:1-3 – here we find that God blessed the seventh, Sabbath, day and set it aside Let’s now go to Exodus 20:8-11, this is where the 10 Commandments are found. We learned last time that the law is still binding today. Here guidelines concerning the keeping of the Sabbath. why we have the Sabbath, God knew that we would need one day to come apart from the world and dwell on the things above and the remember Him as our creator. Did Jesus keep the Sabbath? Luke 4:16 – it was Jesus’ custom to worship on the Sabbath Mark 2:27 – Jesus himself told us that it was made for man, as a memorial of our creator Mark 6:2 – Jesus taught on the Sabbath in the synagogue Did Jesus expect the Sabbath to be abolished or changed? Matthew 5:17- 18 – Jesus did not come to abolish the law, which the Sabbath is part of Matthew 24:20 – pray that flight not be on Sabbath Did the apostles keep the Sabbath? Acts 13:14, 42- 44, 15:21, 16:13, 17:2 – yes, here we see that Paul and the other apostles kept the Sabbath Revelation 1:10 – John in the spirit in the Lords Day, what day is the Lord’s Day? Mark 2:28 – Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath day, it is His day Will we be keeping the Sabbath forever? Isaiah 66: 22-23 – yes, in the new earth we will all come together to worship on the Sabbath When did the days of the creation week begin? When does Sabbath begin? Genesis 1:5, 8, 13 – they all begin and end at sundown John 14:15 – if you love ME, keep my commandments Why I keep the Sabbath Jesus created it, hallowed it, wrote it on stone when He commanded it, kept it while He was on earth, and will keep in on the new earth. If it was good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me. Ezekiel 20: 12 – Sabbath is a sign |

3 | Is THE SABBATH ON A SATURDAY | John 20:19 | "Here I am Lord" | 109130
A easy answer that i have found is the account of the crucifixtion. The whole Christian world recognizes that Christ died on Friday and rose on Sunday and in Mark 15:42 it refers to the day Jesus died as the day before the Sabbath, now what day is inbetween friday and sunday? The BIble is very clear on this. Isn't it exciting to learn new truth? DO you have any other questions concerning the Sabbath. I can tell you that it has been a real blessing to my life. 4 | where do we go when we die? | Eccl 9:5 | "Here I am Lord" | 109109
I wondered this too.. so I searched the scriptures and prayed a lot and here is what i came up with. Also about the verse where Jesus says that he will be with him that day we have to remember that Jesus didn't even go to heaven that day. And also there was no punctuation in the origianl writings of the scriptures. If this does not make sense ask me and i will clarify more. God Bless you in your search for truth. Satan has done his best to make it hard to find but if we search for it as hidden treasure we are sure to find it. State of the Dead Eccl 9:5, 6, 10 – dead know nothing, do nothing when you die Psalm 115:17 – the dead do not praise God Psalm 146:3, 4 – breath to the earth, thoughts perish John 11:11 – Lazarus death called sleep Acts 2:29 – David is dead and in the grave John 5:28, 29 – all raised from the grave Spirit, Soul, and Body Gen 2:7-9 – body plus breath equals soul ...life Psalm 104:29 – take away breath, they die and return to dust Eccl. 12:7 – dust goes to earth, spirit... breath goes back to God 1st lie, Gen 3:5 Moses and Elijah Argue over Moses body, must be a reason, unique to be raised, Jude 1:9 All kings of old,- slept Stephan - slept Dead soldier story |

5 | What steps would I take to get saved | Acts 2:1 | "Here I am Lord" | 109093
The Holy Sprit is something that GOd gives us. It comes from a completely surrendered life to God. Could you imagine how dangerous it woul be if God gave the power of the Holy Spirit to just anyone. The results would be terrible. My suggestion would be to pray and study the Word and God in due time will give you the Holy Spirit.
6 | Women in the church | 1 Cor 14:34 | "Here I am Lord" | 109020
Maybe not exactly but in Timothy we see the qualifications of pastors and elders and it does refer to a man of one wife, and so being that man are to be the spiritual leaders and that the are to be the head of the house i do not see where women are to be the spiritual heads. Yet that is not saying that women cannot speak in church, i havn't seen other than in that one place where it could mean that.

8 | Differences Between Protestant Groups | Acts 2:1 | "Here I am Lord" | 108999
Hi, this is a question that a lot of people ask. And many people wonder why there are so many different types of denominations when the BIble says there is only one God, one baptism, one faith, and we all know that there is only one Bible. If you follow the history of the Reformation you can see where each denomination came from. We can start with the Waldenses who found the truth of following the Bible alone, Then HUss and Jerome who found the truth of obedience, the the one most people think of as the first one Martin Luther broke away from the Catholic church, and his new found truth was righteousness by faith and grace, then Calvin found the truth about Spiritual growth, then the Anabaptists- truth about baptism, Wesley - Holiness, and from those people and on down the line we have the other denominations. One thing that i have had to ask myself is to make sure that all my beliefes i can find and support from the Bible. So that when other people come and ask us, we can show them why we believe what we believe. There is a very interesting book that has changed many people's lives called "The Great Controversy" and it goes through the history of the early church from the reformation down the time line to our days today. If you look at each denominatio you will find different beliefs, but we have to always remember that the founders of the denominations were based on the Bible alone.
9 | 'Once saved always saved' anyscriptures? | Bible general Archive 2 | "Here I am Lord" | 108985
Yes there are many answers in the Bible concerning your question. In the story of the prodigal son found in Luke 15:11-32 we see how this mans son left him and scandered all of his money and his life as well, when the son came back the father made a great feast. The older son, who had not left was very upset, and the fathers response was that the older son had always been with him and could have had anything but the younger son (verse 32) was dead, and is now alive, was lost but is now found. This parable is refering also to our lives. We sometimes leave God and we are lost/dead, yet when we come back to Him we are found/ alive. Also, we can look at the life of Judas, when he first went to follow God i do not believe that he was lost yet at the last supper Jesus says that it would have been better if he had never been born at all. Matt 26:24 In Acts 16:30, 31 we can see where someone asked how to be saved, and the response was to believe on the Lord Jesus..." And in Acts 2:37, 38 Peter tells the people to "repent and be baptized" In the story of creation when Adam and Eve were created they were created perfect and intended to live forever, when Eve and Adam sinned, if they would have died then they would have been lost for they had disobeied God, yet from the gift of salvation and their repentance they were able to receive that gift of salvation. In the garden God gave them freedom of choice, He knew what was best for them but they choose the other way. In Galations 6 :7-8 it shows us that we reap what we sow. I hope that it helps. God Bless |

11 | Restoration of a fallen Pastor | Gen 1:1 | "Here I am Lord" | 108982
Hi, The main verses that i can think of are found in Matt 18: 15-17. Yet I would also like to say that the reason for doing this is for restoration not for discipline. It would be the best thing for everyone to have your pastor repent and be able to be brought back into the fold. In verse 17 it refers to treating them as heathens, now we have to remember how Jesus treated the heathens. He treated them with love in order to draw them to Him. That is what we are called to do with people who have left the faith or are unrepentant, we are to love them and minister to them to hopefully bring them back to God. I hope this brings some answers. God Bless You. Here I am Lord |
