1 | Why do we pray if God already knows all | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82085
1 Timothy 2 verse 1 reads as follows: First of all then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men. Prayer is your way of communicating with God. He is very concern with your thoughts, concerns and cares. Believe it or not you have a say so in your life and how it goes. And how can your request be heard if you don't share with the Lord how you feel. Communicating with God brings about a intimate relationship with him. Where He knows you personally and you Him. God saves a person because they ask Him into their lives. God just doesn't barge His way into your life. Can you imagine being saved and you really don't want to be. That's like being made to go somewhere you hate going. God is a gentleman. The same with prayer. If you don't want a particular thing happening in your life tell it to the Lord. Psalms 37 verse 4-5 says Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He will do it (NASB). In this walk with the Lord we are not robots...The benefits of communicating to the Lord daily is to get your prayers answered. God is not limited He can, will and have changed His mind about many a things..like getting after us after our sin...I'm sure most of us would be dead if there were no mercies. And mercies are new every morning. He (God) changes his mind about getting after us regarding sin daily because of the blood of JESUS. And sometimes the Lord has someone interceding on your behalf and you don't even know of it. In Exodus God was about to destroy the Israelites and Moses stood before the Lord and said "how are you going to destroy these people you made a covenant with"? Moses say take me instead...The Lord's anger subsided and He changed his mind regarding his people and their lives were spared. Now there are times when God wants a certain thing to be done and prayer and nothing else can move His hand...But I can attest and I've been in this walk 20 years.....Your prayer matters, and it can and will change the course of your life..Just because something is about to happen to you doen't mean it has to happen...Prayer can and has change the course of this world...I hoped I helped you!!!!!! |

2 | Unbaptized children | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82090
Luke 23:43 states: And He said to him "truly I say to you today you shall be with me in Paradise. The thief on the cross never had a chance to be emerged in water or be sprinkled. And he is in Paradise to this day. The Lord Jesus said that that's where he would be and I believe that's where he is. God is not limited to what's written. Scpitures were inspired by God to men...So it's given for reproof and correction. But God wisdom and knowledge is so vast, infinite....If He could forgive a theif who did committ sin wouldn't He allow children in PARADISE WHO KNOWS NO SIN and are not baptized? Yes..... Children are exempt here... |

3 | Did Jesus know he was God? | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82207
2 Corinthians 5 verse 19 reads as follows: That God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. Yes the Lord Jesus knew that he was fully God and Fully man. The Lord Jesus never found it difficult to sacrifice himself. After everyman that God had raised up to deliver his people and after every try of man failing to walk upright or try to be as perfect as possible but failed. The Lord Jesus told God to prepare Him a body and so it was. Mary was then visted by the angel that she would concieve of the Holy Ghost.
4 | where did cain's wife come from? | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82211
In the old testament they hardly ever mentioned women. Unless they were really doing some mighty act or deed. But women were around and being born just like men. The command to Adam and Eve was to multiply and replenished the earth. Cain could have copulated with his mom or with a sister that was around but never was spoken of.
5 | invitation to salvation/accepting Christ | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82984
Matt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Matt 28:20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." This is as close as I get get regarding your question. It is the minister's job to compell the lost, persuade and yes even convince to them. That The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ our Lord. I hoped this helps... |

6 | lenght of age for humans,by the lord? | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 82999
There is no scripture regarding this comment. But I believe the Lord allowed them to live longer for reproductive purposes. Just a thought.....
7 | If this is a parable, what does it teach | Bible general Archive 1 | jbw | 84516
Question 1. This is not a parable, this is an actually event that happen an encounter that the Lord Jesus was referencing. Normally when Jesus was using a parable He would reference things pertaining to the person's live style or what have you. example a sower went out to sow. Or a farmer went out to harvest. He did not do this in this case. Question 2. It's not a parable. I believe that the Lord Jesus was telling them that you will be aware of your surroundings when you leave here. The rich ruler knew Abraham, Abraham has been dead decades I'm sure but the rich ruler was certain (aware) that it was Abraham. So you will know people and you will know the people who you leave behind. Question 3. If there is any symbolic purpose regarding the flame it is that if you die without Christ you have hell for your reward. I personally thought that the Lord Jesus didn't spend much time talking about hell. I thought he talked about the living and how to live. These are just my thoughts...... |

8 | Are there animals in heaven? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82763
Gen 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. According to the scriptures man is the only thing that God created that afterwards He breathed into him to become a living soul/spirit. No other creature did God do this to. Now regarding the the animals in the sheet: Acts 10:10 But he became hungry and was desiring to eat; but while they were making preparations, he fell into a trance; Acts 10:11 and he *saw the sky opened up, and an object like a great sheet coming down, lowered by four corners to the ground, Acts 10:12 and there were in it all kinds of four-footed animals and crawling creatures of the earth and birds of the air. Acts 10:13 A voice came to him, "Get up, Peter, kill and eat!" Acts 10:14 But Peter said, "By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean." I believe that God was only using a metaphor with Peter. You see Jews were not allowed to eat everything (pigs etc..) back then and Petre was well aware of the restriced laws. God knew that Peter would catch on quickly to this example oppose to (GOD) Him using another thing. Peter immediately said "Lord I wouldn't eat anything common on unclean". So the animals being let down in the sheet was just used a metaphor... I'm positive animals do ot go to heaven based on the scriptures |

9 | Why did God not create more one couple ? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82765
Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Gen 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. I believe that God made man with woman inside because He wasn't trying to experiment on a certain species to see if one would do this or one would do that, He already knew what each creature was capable of and just made male and female, knowing that they would replenish the earth in time.. As A Matter of fact everytime God completed a certain task he said it was good and very good Gen 1:10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. You must also remember that Incestuous relationship came with the fall of man. We probably will never know what God's original plan would have been because of the fall....just my thoughts.... Deut 29:29 "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law. Quick Search Word(s) or ID# |

10 | Does a human clone have a soul? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82770
Gen 1:24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. Gen 1:25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Base of the scriptures and my interpretation of the scriptures. If man produces a clone be it through DNA or the normal procedures. I believe that because man is a living soul then anything created from him would become a living soul. Everything produces after it's kind. Cat's after it's kind, dogs after it's kind etc.. Gen 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. |

11 | Scriptural proof: animals not in heaven? | Gen 2:7 | jbw | 82776
The plan of Salvation is only given to Humans. Romans 10 vs: 9-10. So based on scriptures only what God breathed into has a soul and equppped to make the transition to heaven. Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; Rom 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. Again I can't recall the Lord the Lord making abode in an animal. Based on the scriptures the Lord Jesus came unto His own (kind)John 1:11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, John 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. Even when the rich man Lazarus lifted up his eyes in hell he saw people awaiting the Lord Jesus death, burial and resurrection not animals Luke 16 Lastly when Stephen was making his transition to heaven and He saw the Lord Jesus standing up...He didn't mention any animal life standing next to Him Acts 7:55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; Now, I'm not a theologian or anything or the sort, but I can't recall one place in the word where He (Jesus)raise a dog from the dead. Neither did he preach to animals...Now God is is almighty and He can do whatever He deems neccessary. But based on the scriptures animals that are walking on earth with you and I aren't there. Again I'm not a theologian and this is my opinion... Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. The animals that are mentioned are for a specific purpose. If this answer or comment is. Now last I heard a dog was man best friend, and we are God's... God is God and He could have whatever He deems necessary so cats, rats, mice and the like could be up there...I guess we will have to wait and see. Born again murders and all that were are until he comes will be there..so maybe..... |

12 | How did Eve hear about the tree? | Gen 3:1 | jbw | 83381

13 | Why the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob? | Gen 50:24 | jbw | 85179
I personally believe that He referenced Abraham, Issac and Jacob to show that He is stable or that he has a tract record of doing what He says He is going to do. So,God would reference them so a person could back and read through biblical history that He never changed or wavered in his promises to these men in their times. Therefore He would not waver with us....just my thoughts....
14 | Explan "Separation of Church and State". | Ex 18:1 | jbw | 84013
What defines the Church? The Church is a body of believers who believe in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whose ultimate goal is to win the lost to Christ. And live a life that's pleasing to God. Webster's defines a "state" as "the supreme public power within a sovereign political entity." Thus, what constitutes a "state" is expressly characterized by the existence of a law making and law enforcing power. You are correct both are built on the laws and principals of God. But Church and State should be separate. Church principals and laws are for those who desire to live a life that's pleasing to God. Even if we make a blunder your ultimate goal is to win the lost to Christ, Live a life that's pleasing to God and hope in his soon return. The State is for the save and unsave. It's principals are based solely on living comfortably with your neighbor peacefully if you can. Do good if you choose. To be a part of the state you don't have to be born again just be born into the world. Now based on the scripture below Church and State should be separate...This is just my point of view... 1 Cor 2:14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. |

15 | Does "find" assume the man is "looking?" | Prov 18:22 | jbw | 88890
Websters definition of find means: To come upon, as after a search or oftentimes by accident. I say that the scriptures mentioned above means that one is actively looking. We look for God to do a whole lot of things we should be doing. If you make your request known unto God that you desire a mate/spouse. I believe that a person at that time should actively look. Not deseparately look but actively look/search. Now the word says he who finds her???. This scripture and Proverbs 31 and linked together...Proverbs 31 lays out for you what the qualities and characteristics this good thing (wife) should have working on the inside and outside of her. I also believe that you should have a check list of what you what him or her to possess. Do you want them witty, charming, good listener, a home maker, blue collared, white collared etc.... You have a punch list for a house or car why not a soon to be spouse? The word also states in Matthew that if you seek you will find and if you knock the door will be open. I've been married twice and neither one of my husbands came to my front door through osmosis. I was out and about and I met them. Make your request known unto God, ask him for his guidance and actively search...Remember a search could take time.....And there is no perfect person......I hope this helped you..p.s. If the Lord bless us on the way we conduct ourselves works we would be some sorry souls......(smile) |

16 | What is the bible say about vow? | Eccl 5:4 | jbw | 82979
Eccl 5:4 When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow! Eccl 5:5 It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay. vow: A solemn promise or pledge to do a certain thing. A vow is a promise to do a certain thing. If you search the scriptures you will find that God is a God of intergrity. His word is BOND. MATTER OF FACT HIS WORD IS HIM. God actually vowed to Adam that if he actually ate from the tree of knowledge good and evil that he would surely die. Adam ate and Adam surely died a spiritual death. We are made in the likeness of God so God wants and desires us to say what we mean and mean what we say. Bottom line in the old and new testament if you vow (make a promise) to do something the Lord God expects us to do it. The result of not keeping a vow ruins your credibility with man and with God. No one will ever take you serious...ever I hoped I helped |
||||||
17 | What about if not paying? | Eccl 5:4 | jbw | 83165
Num 30:1 Then Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the sons of Israel, saying, "This is the word which the LORD has commanded. Num 30:2 "If a man makes a vow to the LORD, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth. Deut 23:21 "When you make a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the LORD your God will surely require it of you. Deut 23:22 "However, if you refrain from vowing, it would not be sin in you. Deut 23:23 "You shall be careful to perform what goes out from your lips, just as you have voluntarily vowed to the LORD your God, what you have promised. 1 Sam 1:11 She made a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head." 1 Sam 1:17 Then Eli answered and said, "Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your petition that you have asked of Him." 1 Sam 1:18 She said, "Let your maidservant find favor in your sight." So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. 1 Sam 1:20 It came about in due time, after Hannah had conceived, that she gave birth to a son; and she named him Samuel, saying, "Because I have asked him of the LORD." 1 Sam 1:22 But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, "I will not go up until the child is weaned; then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD and stay there forever." 1 Sam 1:24 Now when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with a three-year-old bull and one ephah of flour and a jug of wine, and brought him to the house of the LORD in Shiloh, although the child was young. 1 Sam 1:25 Then they slaughtered the bull, and brought the boy to Eli. 1 Sam 1:26 She said, "Oh, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the LORD. 1 Sam 1:27 "For this boy I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him. 1 Sam 1:28 "So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD." And he worshiped the LORD there I know that this is very lengthy, but I wanted you the get the essence of what a vow is and how people of old would have died before they didn't peformed what they said that they would do before the Lord. This is just me talking. I think sometimes we neglect or are not appreciative of the relationship we have with the Lord. It's a honor, because many will reject the Messiah. Whatever God say's that He will do for you can bet your bottom dollar that it is good as gold and it gets done (think about any promise HE'S MADE YOU). God is working on transforming us into the image of His dear son. I have been in this walk now with the Lord 20 years. And I have to admitt that early on I would make a vow and forget I made one. I would make a vow and start it and when I didn't get what I wanted (within the time frame I thought) I would then renigg on the vow. I've been a lot of places IN THIS WALK. But as I grow older in the Lord. He is working intergrity in me. To a point that I want my words to count to Him and the people around me. I want people to say that if she say's this or that she will do it. That's being transform into His image. No!! a curse does not come on you when you don't keep a vow. It just shows that a person has a lot of growing to do. God is full of mercies and very longsuffering. So no He wouldn't allow a building to fall on your head hahahaahaaa. He will just continue to complete the work that he started in you.. I hope I helped you.. |

18 | High standard of living? | Matthew | jbw | 83190
Matt 2:11 After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. I have serveral comments regarding this. Upon the Lord Jesus birth. The wise men bought him gold. And I don't believe that they gave him a couple of pieces. I believe that they gave him plenty. Surely the Lord Jesus didn't live an extravagant live. But that wasn't his purpose. Deut 25:4 "You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing This scriptures says that one is suppose to make sure that Ministers, Evangelist, etc have enough so they can carry out the gospel without hinderances. Mark 15:24 And they *crucified Him, and *divided up His garments among themselves, casting lots for them to decide what each man should take. I use this scripture to show that Jesus's wardrobe was not polyester. This men was casting lots so that once He was dead or even before they could sell his garments. 2 Cor 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. Basically what I am saying is that I don't believe that there is nothing wrong with living comfortably or very extravagant. Kings live very well...Why not a Kings Kid? But not at the expense where an individual is lying and taking advantage of people to gain wealth...But otherwise I see nothing wrong with it. |

20 | Marring a divorced person is it a sin? | Matthew | jbw | 83194
Matt 19:7 They *said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to GIVE HER A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE AND SEND her AWAY?" Matt 19:8 He *said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. The Lord ANSWERED THIS PERSON THAT WAY Because He knew the whole purpose and intent of this person was to try and trick Him up. Plus it is the law..But Jesus came with mercy and grace..... Heb 13:4 Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. I personally believe that staying in a marriage that is not fruitful, where no one is agreeing, children being tormenting by fusssing and fighting, just total chaos everyday is not of God. Tell the situation to the Lord. I pray that both parties are saved. Or both parties are not saved. But definitely not one saved and the other one's not. Because that would be unequally yoked. Bottom line no sin have been committed if you married a divorced man/woman....Heck I working on number three...(smile) And live a blissful wonderful life. This is my thoughts only.. |
