3 | Who were Jesus' main opponents during Hi | NT general | dispen4ever | 208846
Read the Book of Matthew. The leadership of the Hebrew nation opposed Him totally. They challenged and criticized Him publicly. They called for his arrest, and eventually his execution. Their denial that He was the promised Messiah resulted in the postponement of the Messianic Kingdom, and the message then going to the Gentiles. See Acts, Chapter 9.
4 | Extent of the marriage bed undefiled? | Genesis | dispen4ever | 208787
We must not pervert the act of sexual intercouse between one married man and woman in bed. The two are designed by God to 1) reproduce and 2) enjoy each other. Any perversion of the penis-vagina act of reproduction or loving each other is off limits (much to the dismay of our hedonistic society, I'm sure.)

6 | Mathew 5.6 | Matt 5:6 | dispen4ever | 208851
The Sermon on the Mount and the Messianic Kingdom belong to Israel. Jesus was preparing His disciples for their ministry after His departure. What does the Bible say? Matthew 10:5: "These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." What did He say to the non-Jew Canaanite woman? "I can't give to you dogs (Gentiles) that which belongs to the children" --- "that which" is the promised Messianic Kingdom. The "children" are Israel! Look at Matthew 10:7. "And as ye go, preach, saying, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." He is instructing the 12 apostles who were chosen to announce to Jewish folk that the Messianic Kingdom (of Heaven) was ready to be implemented, then and there. In the Sermon on the Mount and in the Olivet Discourse Jesus is speaking to the 12 Apostles (and the 70 disciples who followed, the "12 plus70") about what will happen to the Jews who hear them. They shall be blessed. They shall be filled. They shall obtain. They shall see God. Each "shall" is future. The Hebrew Nation rejected Him as the Messiah, even after hearing the Good News as brought to them by the 12 plus 70. He died for them anyway, then through Paul sent the Good News to we Gentiles (eventually Peter got the hang of it when the great sheet was lowered). Go read the Pauline Epistles for your duties as a follower of Christ: To honor Him, to worship Him, to invite the Holy Spirit to lead you in paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake!. |

7 | series of retreat from territory Galilee | John | dispen4ever | 208763
He was tired. He needed to talk to the Father. He needed to be separate from the din of the crowds. One could find out where Jesus was by following the dust cloud kicked up by those Jews who were walking with and behind him.

9 | Why was the thorn given | 2 Cor 12:7 | dispen4ever | 208848
Lest Paul should be "puffed up". Paul was one of the most learned men of his time. He had credentials beyond belief, beyond 5 masters and 5 ph.d's. Paul had a speech impediment, and was unable to write well. No one could accuse him of being "puffed up" in oratory or in his writings! When I preach I preach loud, with a firm voice, as one having authority. I print and write quite well. Paul could do neither of these. His eyesight may have been impacted, as well. See Acts Chapter 9. See also 1 Corinthians 2:3-4a and 2 Corinthians 10:10. |

11 | about being under the power of demons | Ephesians | dispen4ever | 208845
http://www.crossroad.to/Victory/Armor.htm If you are a Christian you cannot be possessed or controlled by demonic spirits. James 4:7 says that we are to resist the devil and he will flee. If you are not a Christian, you are in danger of being possessed or controlled by demons. "For we battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness." Can you find that scripture reference? Reach for your Bible. Do it as soon as you read this. Blessings!! |
