I'm not sure about the time elapsed b/w the 2 events. My understanding is that they had nothing to do w/ one another. Michal was mad w/ David b/c of his manner of worship to God. He took off his outer royal garments. He then danced and worshipped right along side the commoners as the ark of God was brought to Jerusalem. Michal, being pagan, was unhappy with the way David's humble relationship w/ both God and his people. If you like the life of David, I recommend "Pursuing God's Own Heart" by Jerry Vines. It's a very good book on the lessons to be learned from the life of David. |
