why do we make God' word so complicated? Because we attempt to justify and own way of living while calling ourselves “Christian”. We claim Christianity yet are so blatantly ignorant of the reason for Jesus Christ aside from redemption which is something we had nothing to with except need it. Prov. 13; 15 tells us that the way of a transgressor is hard. God' word is true and the truth shall make you free. One thing we must realize is this; we must be sincere in what we do for Christ and remember only what we do for Christ will last. And when we read Gods word we won’t understand everything now as we read, but one day we'll understand it better by and by Yes but the transgressor mentioned hear applies to the one has entered into something and then violated it. In the Christian’s case it has to do with not entering the kingdom of God as God desires -See Jn 3.3,5- while attempting to have the benefits of His kingdom. Won’t work! The Christian violates the word of God. Jesus says “Come unto me”; and then, Take My yoke upon you”. We go to Him for salvation and then no further. We don’t take His Yoke because we really don’t desire His “Government” -Yoke- to be something in/on our lives. Consequently we live a contradiction when we say we are Christian that brings confusion and difficulty when trying to understand His word and be blessed by it. God’s word is indeed truth and we can be ‘sincerely wrong’ about that truth if we don’t appropriate His provision for finding it. Since it can only be found by the Faith OF Jesus Christ and that Faith to be found by "abiding" in His Kingdom, where we ought to find ourselves if we are “sincerely” sincere? It is the Mind of God that is found IN the Faith of Jesus Christ. Paul said “Let this Mind be in you……” Jesus said: “Be perfect as your Father in Heaven”. When His Faith is in you will begin to see that it is the ONLY Faith that is pleasing to God AFTER you become a Christian. (Heb 11.6 And without (*that Faith) faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him…..with Himself! Then “works should follow based on the Mind of God; the Faith of the Lord Jesus. What did Jesus say but “I only do what I see my Father do…” So we can readily see that without His Faith it is impossible to please Father since it is with His Mind that we do so. -Jn 17.11 “…that they may be one, as we are”- The responsibility lay with us to continually be found pleasing to Father in the way of perseverance in overcoming in this life. And how do we overcome but by the Blood of the Lamb! It’s a Love affair initiated by Him. A man’s works will reveal what faith motivates him. James 2.20 *that Faith--emphasis mine It is NOT so much what we do for Christ that will last since we can be functioning from “self-motivation”. We must be as Jesus, the man, and then the doing will be a giving of ourselves as Father moves by His Holy Spirit, upon our hearts. One can’t ‘do’ without, ‘being’. |

7 | Who, does the Bible say, are the "elect" | NT general Archive 1 | Ken hepting | 100097
[Do you agree with my definition of "elect"? If not, please provide me with your definition and which passages support it.] I agree with it, John, but your desire is to take it beyond that based or a poor, very poor interpretation which lead to all sorts of distruction. It's not unlike what a cultist might do....Anyone here got a NWT Bible? |

9 | Why 4 Gospels? | NT general Archive 1 | Ken hepting | 100984
This is a repost of what I stated in the another post. All of the gospels are referred to in the OT and in Revelation. By their being mentioned as such I would think that God sought to give addition "proofs" of their inspirations. Ezekiel 1:5-10 (NASB) And within it there were figures resembling four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human form. [6] Each of them had four faces and four wings. [7] And their legs were straight and their feet were like a calf's hoof, and they gleamed like burnished bronze. [8] Under their wings on their four sides were human hands. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, [9] their wings touched one another; their faces did not turn when they moved, each went straight forward. [10] As for the form of their faces, each had the face of a man, all four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and all four had the face of an eagle. Rev. 4:7 (NASB) And the first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle. All of this is represented by the four gospels. Lion of the tribe Judah.....Matthew Ox, the servant, beast of burden....Mark Man, Jesus Son of man...Luke. Eagle, Son of God, Christ...John |

[When Jesus was here he had no doubt. He said he knew the father was always with him. He never had that little doubt. He did always the things that please the Father. But you do not. Sometimes you do not know whether you do or not. That's the truth. Please don’t say it’s because Jesus was or is God. Please read on] Jesus was alone in the wilderness and when on the cross. No presence of God "felt" here. He was totally alone with just the assurance of the written word and His own faith the father would perform all He purposed. Your post is very insightful and deserves thought by everyone who seeks intimacy with Father. The examples you site are kingdom of God experiences. |
