2 | blaspheme the Spirit | Bible general Archive 1 | Jeshuafreak | 52392
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is someting the Pharisee's were commiting. They told Jesus His works were being done by the power of Satan, when they knew darn good and well that it was God who gave Jesus His power. This is an ongoing thing that one might commit. It is not done by true believers, it would be impossible for them to blaspheme Him, for those who truelly know Him. On the other hand, a religious, legalistic, pharisaical type blasphemes Him everyday by their lifestyle. Luke 13 26then you will begin to say, "We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.' 27But He will say, "I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.' 28There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. Romans 8 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature,[1] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.[2] And so he condemned sin in sinful man,[3] 4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. 5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. |

3 | Christian growth, and Faith is hard? | Bible general Archive 1 | Jeshuafreak | 52761
Justme- Yes my friend, I too got saved after a life of blatant sin, which I did not know was sin. I read my Bible so much and highlighted practically the entire New Testament..haha. It has been about 4 years now and I realize that this is always up hill, always against the stream of socity and always against our natural tendencies, which is to sin. Only by the Spirit of God can we even begin this journey and only by His Spirit can we continue in it. We don't need to know everything. God will reveal His Word to us and make it plain at that moment we need it. All we need to do is read the Scriptures and pray. Be obedient to His Spirit. Sensitize yourself to His still small voice by staying roote in His word. Keep His word in your mind always. "Chew the cud." The Lord has quickened our conscience, which was once seared by our ever increasing sin, but now we are made new and free from the old bloated body of death. Praise God for His tender mercies. -Jeshuafreak |

Bible Basics with Woodrow Kroll***** http://www.backtothebible.org/articles/kroll-part12.html********** What Makes the Bible Unique? (Part 5) The Bible is Inerrant, Infallible and Eternal by Woodrow Kroll ******* Take a read of this article and order the Bible Basics series....the last 2 books deal with your topic, and they can be ordered separately. *****Also see: J. Rodman Williams, Ph.D.----- The Character of the Inspired Text http://home.regent.edu/rodmwil/script6.html****And another from Geoff Thomas **** http://users.aber.ac.uk/emk/ap/sermons/word1.htm*** THE SURE WORD OF GOD Sermon 1: Trusting the infallible Word "Thy word is truth" (John 17:17) ******* And yet another ***http://users.aol.com/bible2007/****** The Bible--God's Word Wholly Inspired and Infallible ******** God's Infallible Word a paper by Pastor Gerald Boyd The Word of God was written by ordinary men, but they were men of God who were under the influence of God’s Holy Spirit. 2 Peter l:20,21 says, "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old times by the will of man: but Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." 2 Timothy 3:16,17 says, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." THE BIBLE IS SUPERIOR TO OTHER BOOKS in its origin, formation, doctrines, principles, claims, moral tone, histories, prophecies, revelations, literature, present redemption and eternal benefits, and its general contents. IT’S INFLUENCE IN THE WORLD: It has blessed millions in every generation, made the highest civilizations, and given man the highest hope and destiny. THE CHARACTER OF THOSE WHO ACCEPT IT: The wisest, most godly, and honest of men acknowledge it as God’s Word. ONLY INFIDELS, and the ungodly reject it. MAN COULD NOT HAVE WRITTEN the Bible if he would, and would not have written it if he could. No critic of scripture has ever been able to improve or disprove it. GOOD MEN MUST HAVE WRITTEN IT. It condemns all sin and records the sins and faults of its writers as well as others. ALL MAN’S PRESENT AND ETERNAL NEEDS ARE MET BY THE BIBLE. Redemption and promised benefits have been given to all generations and this will always be so. SECULAR HISTORY: Many pagans as well as Jewish and Christian writers confirm the facts of the Bible, quoting it as being genuine, authentic and inspired of God. FAITH IN GOD’S WORD will transform your life: His Word will give you the keys to success and happiness. God’s Word is life changing and will penetrate the hardest of hearts, making a man a totally new person (2 Corinthians 5:l7). OUR NATION IS GREAT because of the profound faith of our forefathers in Almighty God. HERE ARE A FEW OF THEIR COMMENTS: GEORGE WASHINGTON: "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible." ABRAHAM LINCOLN: "I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man. All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated to us through this book." DOUGLAS MCARTHUR: "Believe me sir, never a night goes by, be I ever so tired, but I read the Word of God before I go to bed." WARNING: The book is habit forming, regular use causes loss off anxiety, decreased appetite for lying, cheating, stealing, hating. SYMPTOMS: Increased sensations of love, joy, peace and compassion. I CHALLENGE YOU to read: John 3:16, Romans 3:23, 6:23; 10:9,10; 1 John 1:9; 2 Corinthians 5:17 then ask Jesus Christ to come into your life to be YOUR Lord and Savior. Your life will be completely changed. * Some quotes above were from Dakes Annotated Bible. ----This was found at http://www.amazinggrace.com/*** Should I keep going? **** Go to GOOGLE and search "infallible word of God" and other similar searches and you will find tons of material related to your question. |

8 | Has anyone noticed? | Bible general Archive 1 | Jeshuafreak | 53476
2nd Samuel 22 - I demand that you call Him Joshua!! Just kidding...but that is what we would call Him if He was growing up on our block in rural or suburban america. His name means the "the Lord is salvation"or "the Lord saves" , which is kind of funny if you think about it. When we say Jesus saves, we are being redundant. My real name is Joshua and I could call myself Jesus if I was Hispanic. Actually I saw a Spanish Bible and it had the book of Joshua spelled Josue', pronounced hoe-sway. You know it doesn't matter though as long as youo know you are talking about Jesus Christ the omnipotent eternal Apha and Omega Lord of lords King of kings forever exalted...He is exalted, the King is exalted on High and I will praise His name.... if I had no toungue in which to speak His name I would still praise His name. How bout the old testament saints that didn't know His name? They still praised His name... the One Who had no name. The one who was just a tetragram. YHWH... Someday we will speak His proper name in glory. What is truely important is the meaning behind the name. Are you a true Christian? If so who is Jesus , Y'Shua, Yeshua, Jeshua, Joshua, Josue' to you. I assure you He is God. He was and is the God-man. He is not spirit brother to Lucifer as the JW's assert. He is not anything less than who He is He is the great I AM.. Sorry bout my ramblings and I will catch you all later.- Jeshuafreak ------ P.S. Jesusfreak was taken when I adopted this name, in case yooue wondered |

9 | What is the right amount to tithe. | OT general | Jeshuafreak | 54481
To tithe or not to tithe.... whether on gross or net..... sadly this is not the question... We are to give to God our all....and all means all...Everything is His first and foremost...it is only because of Him that we are able to work..it is He that gives us strength, breath, and heartbeat... So don't you think it is quite trivial to get into a discussion that asks .."What can we get by on giving to God?" If you really want to please God stop being a legalistic modern day prarisee and start giving everything to God... your entire life is in His hands.. why do you foolishly keep presuming your life is your own to do what you want...Your life is a gift from God what you do with your life...the way we spend our Time our Talent and our Treasures is our gift to Him.....Are you going to let the enemy of our souls rob us of the joy gained from a close personal intimate relationship with Christ******as I write this I am reminded by the Holy Spirit that I should be paying attention to what I am writing... because it is written to me as well....neat how that works. I LOVE YOU ALL AND GOD LOVES YOU TOO....STOP THE MADNESS!!!!...QUIT BEING LEGALISTIC AND SELF RIGHTEOUS!! **Strive for closeness with the Lord and Creator of the universe, Savior and King. INSTEAD OF INTELLECTUAL SUPPIORITY OVER YOUR BRETHREN****THIS DOESN"T BUILD UP IT ONLY TEARS DOWN..... Trust me I have been there and the Lord is bringing me out of that dessert of SIN....yes it is sin. Tithe is not the issue YOUR HEART IS... WERE YOUR TREASURE IS THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO!!!! Look through your checkbook to see whether you are setting your sites on things eternal or temporal.....YES WE ALL MUST PAY FOR LIVING EXPENSES...don't you think your Father knows that? The least we could do is give back to Him out of the first fruits of our lives...NOT JUST OUR PAYCHECKS....

**** And the New Testament****Revelation 21 11It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. |

Read the article it is against marijuanna ..I lost in this debate and I am diciding to side with God's Word. All I wanted was a good solid agument..not based on emotions I wanted cold hard object facts.....and not opinionions. I wanted a good solid argument against smoking pot... For years I justified it's use in my life. I am now fully convinced that I can no longer smoke it and have biblical support for doing so. Please read the debate that convicted me.*****One Toke Over the Line By Douglas Wilson http://www.christkirk.com/images/Marijuana.html |

And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. Galatians 3 23But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. |

20 | I don't know what is the meaning of the | Lev 19:1 | Jeshuafreak | 52771
Verse 28. Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead,.... Either with their nails, tearing their cheeks and other parts, or with any instrument, knife, razor,. Jarchi says, it was the custom of the Amorites, when anyone died, to cut their flesh, as it was of the Scythians, as Herodotus relates, even those of the royal family; for a king they cut off a part of the ear, shaved the hair round about, cut the arms about, wounded the forehead and nose, and transfixed the left hand with arrows; and so the Carthaginians, who might receive it from the Phoenicians, being a colony of theirs, used to tear their hair and mouths in mourning, and beat their breasts ; and with the Romans the women used to tear their cheeks in such a manner that it was forbid by the law of the twelve tables, which some have thought was taken from hence: and all this was done to appease the infernal deities, and to give them satisfaction for the deceased, and to make them propitious to them, as Varro affirms; and here it is said to be made "for the soul," for the soul of the departed, to the honour of it, and for its good, though the word is often used for a dead body: now, according to the Jewish canons , whosoever made but one cutting for a dead person was guilty, and to be scourged; and he that made one for five dead men, or five cuttings for one dead man, was obliged to scourging for everyone of them: nor print any marks upon you; Aben Ezra observes, there are some that say this is in connection with the preceding clause, for there were who marked their bodies with a known figure, by burning, for the dead; and he adds, and there are to this day such, who are marked in their youth in their faces, that they may be known; these prints or marks were made with ink or black lead, or, however, the incisions in the flesh were filled up therewith; but this was usually done as an idolatrous practice; so says Ben Gersom, this was the custom of the Gentiles in ancient times, to imprint upon themselves the mark of an idol, to show that they were his servants; and the law cautions from doing this, as he adds, to the exalted name (the name of God): in the Misnah it is said , a man is not guilty unless he writes the name, as it is said, Leviticus 19:28; which the Talmudists and the commentators interpret of the name of an idol, and not of God: |
