Luke 17:11 As He went on His way to Jerusalem, it occurred that [Jesus] was passing [along the border] between Samaria and Galilee. Luke 17:12 And as He was going into one village, He was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance. Luke 17:13 And they raised up their voices and called, Jesus, Master, take pity and have mercy on us! Luke 17:14 And when He saw them, He said to them, Go [at once] and show yourselves to the priests. And as they went, they were cured and made clean. [Lev. 14:2-32.] Luke 17:15 Then one of them, upon seeing that he was cured, turned back, recognizing and thanking and praising God with a loud voice; Luke 17:16 And he fell prostrate at Jesus' feet, thanking Him [over and over]. And he was a Samaritan. Luke 17:17 Then Jesus asked, Were not [all] ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Luke 17:18 Was there no one found to return and to recognize and give thanks and praise to God except this alien? Luke 17:19 And He said to him, Get up and go on your way. Your faith (your trust and confidence that spring from your belief in God) has restored you to health. |

6 | Still Confused | OT general | Edd | 119076
Hi African Venus Under the Mosaic Covenant given to Israel are the commandments Thou shalt have no other gods before me… Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God. Out of these and other laws came the righteous will of God, these ordinances of God formed one religious system to govern the people of Israel. Failure to comply was accompanied by Judgment, condemnation and of death. However, in today’s period of time we are under the new covenant of grace. Unlike the Midianites or people of ancient time faced swifter judgment of God, truly different dispensation. The Midianites you are referring to, were people whom worship other gods, not the God of Israel, Numbers chapter 25, But the Israeli joined themselves to Midianites sinful social lifestyle. Their action caused the anger of the Lord to kindle against Israel, Num.25.3. However, The priest Aaron pleased the lord, by doing so he turned God’s wrath away from the children of Israel. God said “ I consumed not the children of Israel in my Jealousy.” Num.25.11. God was not pleased with Midianites perversions of the Israelites. Therefore, swift Judgment was on the Midianites “ and the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, vex the Midianites and smite them, Num.25.16-17. During the war in Numbers chapter 31, one can see that God favor the children of Israel: honoring his own commandments, using the people of Israel to reveal his displeasure with any person(s) given over to a sinful nature. The ultimate consequent of sin is death, if there is no atonement or high priest intervention such as Christ intervening on our behalf. Edd |

7 | Where does membership come from? | NT general Archive 1 | Edd | 123145
I would like to share this with you. Lately I have not attended Church services on a regular basic, fed up with hoopla without the power of God, all talk and no action, congregations condemnation without biblical support, Church house full of converts whom have establish their own righteousness’ omitting the righteousness of God, and Preachers who will not preach to then or us the word of God, spending hours talking about worldly circumstance, situation and events; instead of preaching the word of God, which deliver my soul every time I hear it, read it or see it’s manifestations. However, it has saddened me to witness these LACK OF occurrences in some of our local churches houses. Nevertheless, God is not finished with the restoration of our soul. When Jesus said it is finished he was referring to his works on the cross, as it pertains to our salvation and this is not to say that my works in the body of Christ finished are I would already be with the dead in Christ. Therefore, God has helps me to enter the church. In this case the church building which is somewhat different than the actual church as in the body of Christ. So, I drag my self through the front doors of church building, praising God with hope for change soon to come, before I waste away in some powerless assembly calling it’s self a local church,Oh lord My God Please help us and have mercy . Here is a testimony, last weekend we went camping, route to campsite I noticed a church building, on Sunday I went and attended the service. The word of God was powerful the Preach readied scriptures straight-out the bible, it really touch my heart made me all watery eyed. At the end of Service communion was severed. One of the brothering invited me to participate in the Lord’s Supper. So, with the smell camping on my body, and wooly hair, I must have looked as thought I lived in the forest, because I didn’t look like any one else in the congregation, but I was having holy communion with my brothers and sister in a far away place. It seem as thought the congregation did not even notice my outward appearance. All the time while attending the church services, I had not spoken one word. After the service were completed, and we were exiting the building, one of the brothering greeted me and said "do I Know you from some where" he implied, Seen you at a health club or somewhere; as he was trying to place me, I answered him, No! "This is my first time visiting this area, but I do have a health club membership but don’t use it" at that very moment, as I spoke these words to the gentleman, the spirit of God spoke to me and said "you have a membership in the body of Christ and you don’t use it." I believe that God wants us to use our Church membership; it’s benefits and privileges. It is something special that people of God have and the world do not have. For the saint of God to have such asset, connection to the throng of God and not to use it, is the same as to not have such saving grace at all. We are then viewed and having allowed ourselves to become just as the people of the world, with no difference in _______________. |

Heb. 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." This scripture is very true, but it could easily be misunderstood. It means once we come into the knowledge of Christ and his forgiviness of sin. Understand that there is no other sacrifice for sin since Jesus Christ. Remember the people were sacrificing animals, since Christ paid the price for our sin on the cross. no more animals sacrifice for sin is acceptable. |

Hi African Venus, It is strange that your Professor would make this an example of genocide when there is no archaeological remains to be attributed to the Midianites, where is the evidences. Outside of the Bible, very little is known about this tribal group. Therefore, according to the Bible, Yes there were conflicts, but to conclude that God supported the deliberate extermination of a nation or people (genocide) is far fetch ideology. God loves People, but hates sin. Through the bible I somewhat understand God’s concern about the sins of Midianites and Israelis and others, but I don’t think God makes decision based on race. Beside he created the human race and located people in varies parts the world. I believe God will defeat all sin, to the point death. However, if we began to label wars as acts of genocide, especially in this particular situation between the Midianites and Israel, this action could be viewed as Israel perpetrating genocide against the people Midian.Which is not a good view of God's biblical chosen People. If your professor claims of SUPPORTED BY GOD were valid, I believe it will surround issues of sin not ethnic cleansing. Ask your Professor to clarify position, but be careful your GPA is at stake. What's the big picture here? |

Hi African Venus, Aaron is said to be the first of the priests of Israel: in fact, during the conflicts between the Midianites and Israel, according to chapter 25 and 31 of Numbers, he was not present in this particular era. Nevertheless, God made a covenant of peace with the children of Israel, declared war via Moses, with the people of Midian, but Aaron was not there. However, in my previous reply to your question: in error I placed Aaron at the scene. It wasn’t Aaron, but his descendant Phinehas son of Eleazar. . As for Aaron, he was already deceased in Numbers chapter 20:28, this oversight on my behalf was ignorance (Lack of knowledge): evidently, God is not finish with me, as of yet. In any case, Twenty-four thousand people died from a plague, in relation to sinful acts committed while indulging in the worshiper of other gods: remember, that God clearly stated in Exodus chapter 20, that he is a Jealous God. Based on Phinehas reactions to the sinful adapted lifestyle of Israel, and his zealous honor for God: the lord God honored the intent of Phinehas heart, and made atonement for the Israelites Num.25. I hope this somewhat clears up this matter; and I apologize for any confusion it may have caused, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace….” 1 Cor.14: 33. PEACE Edd |

Let the wicked forsake his way,and the unrighteous man his thoughts:and let him return unto the LORD,and he will have mercy upon him;and to our God,for he will adundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, said the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.(ISAIAH 55:7-9) "In addition God said" Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said they do alway err in their heart;and they have not known my ways.(HEBREWS 3:10) "Also" Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes:fear the lord, and depart from evil. (PROVERBS 3:5-7)For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise and to do good. He deviseth mischief upon his bed;He setteth himself in a way that is not good:he abhorreth not evil. (PSALM 36:2-4)Have mercy oh lord my God, for you are the great almighty awesome God and all power is in your hand and your timing is perfect.Thank-you for your redeeming/call of Israel out of Egypt and sending your son Jesus to redeem/call us out of a world of sin; fulfilling the promise given to father Abraham.Thank you for Jesus and the Holy spirit'you are a on time God.Without your spirit we can not live a Holy'Holy,Holy life , for all of us have sin and come short of your glory. |

18 | Was prophecy fulfilled at Pentecost? | Joel 2:28 | Edd | 114752
Yes,this prophecy was fulfilled becaused the scripture said "this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel (Act 2:16.However, I'm not absolutely sure about your application of the words "completely fulfilled" because in ACTS 2:17 we must observe the words LAST DAYS " and it shall come to pass in the last days, said God I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh."Jesus began to preach , and to say as record in the book of ST.Matthew 4:17"Repent,for the kingdom of heaven is at hand"and in Mt.6:33 Jesus instruct us to seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Even, in the lords prayer Mt.6:9-10 we are praying, OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN,HALLOWED BE THY NAME.THY KINGDOM COME.THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. Jesus said in Mt.16:15 "but whom say ye that I am?" and Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.And Jesus answer and said unto him, Blessed art thou,Simon Barjona:for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, that thou are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. This was the first mention of the Church by Jesus. Christ's Death,Burial and resurrection is the completion of the first coming of Christ known as the first Advent among Christian all over the world. In the St.John 14:16 Christ gives us a promise of the spirit."And I will pray the father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever. We are in the period of the second coming of Christ, where as whosoever shall call call upon the name of the lord shall be saved. Before that great and notable day of the lord come. The church that Christ is returning for is still open for new converts untill that great day of the lord but within the body of christ today he has given ministry gifts for the purpouse of prefecting the saints. EPHESIAN 4:11 And he gave some, apostles, and some, prophets, some, evangelelists, and some, pastors and teachers, For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of christ. HEBREWS 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. If you are appling Joel 2:28-32 to the church and it current status pertaining to the holy Ghost it's a work in progress. Jesus came into this world and fulfilled scriptures, but all works not complete neither is the work of the Holy Ghost nor the works of current living christian, until the Gospel of Jesus is all over the world, and everyone has an opportunity to know Christ. |
