2 | whosoever put away his wife except forni | Bible general Archive 4 | upset | 203038 | ||
After 24 years of marriage, I divorced my husband because I thought I could find a better life. I had left him 3 times before finally ending it in divorce. When I asked him for the last time if he was willing to change some things in our marriage, he said "you know me, I will never change". He told me everything would be alright as long as I listened to him. He never apologized to me in the 24 years we were married. I told him I was sorry for things that I said but I never got this back from him. I divorced 17 years ago. Since then I and my former husband have remarried and he must have changed because he is happily married. I, on the other hand, am tormented every day. I would like to reunite with my former husband but I can't call him because his new wife is always there. I would like to make myself right with the Lord. Can you please suggest what I can do? I want both of us to be eternally saved and I read in the Bible that God only allows divorce if your spouse commits adultery. Neither of us were guilty of this. |
