1 | During Rebuilding of the temple | Ezra 1:1 | smalltinygirl | 211477
Ezra starts out explaining the decree of Cyrus to rebuild the temple after the exiled Israelites return from exile. It talks of trouble stirring and when Darius is in "office" he says the Israelites can go ahead and continue building. Then Xerxes and Artexerses is mentioned, THEN Darius, and it seems under his 6th year the temple is finished but I don't know, I am dumber than a rock I guess. Who can help me just get in proper order all the kings and all their decrees through the entire process of the rebuilding the temple up to its completion? I would greatly appreciate help. Thank you so much.

In 2Chronicles 36 it talks of Neco of Egypt having killed Josiah and now after dealing with Assyria comes back to Jerusalem and deposes Josiah's son, puts his (Jehoahaz's) in his place and then taking Jehoahaz home to Egypt, and later, Nebuchadnezzar comes from Babylon and takes Jehoiakim back to Babylon. I am wondering why and how do these men have any authority to do these things over the wishes of the people of Judah for their rightful king?

8 | could foundation be a type of NT doctrin | 2 Chr 23:5 | smalltinygirl | 208691
Tim, thanks for responding. I will assume that the capitalization might have been maybe used out of respect that it was the foundation of the temple, the beginning of the holy place, therefore, special. Do YOU think it could also be like a type of our faith today, Jesus as our foundation?
