2 | Does Jesus say he is God Almighty here.. | Rev 1:8 | seedling | 199827
I believe that Jesus is part of the trinity and is God. I'vve been searching the scriptures to find if Jesus did call himself God. The verse that comes close is John 10:30...I and My Father are one. This morning I ran across another verse, Revalation 1:8. Is Jesus talking in this verse? ..."I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Is Jesus calling himself God by saying the Almighty? I think yes because it correlates to the verse Revelations 22:13. Does anyone think these verses also correlate with Isaiah 41:4. I do believe that God is talking in thhe Isaiah verse. Comments please. Thankyou!

Of the Israelites who were freed from the Babylonian captivity, how many were the children of Pahrath-Moab? Two thousand eight hundred and twelve (Ezra 2:6) Two thousand eight hundred and eighteen (Nehemiah 7:11) -------------------------------------------------------------- 17. How many were the children of Adin? Four hundred and fifty-four (Ezra 2:15) Six hundred and fifty-five (Nehemiah 7:20) -------------------------------------------------------------- 20. How many were the children of Hashum? 8 | Forgiveness and salvation | Matt 5:20 | seedling | 175914
Matthew 6:9-15...And the last couple of verses struck me...I'd never really noticed the gravity of what they really said... "(9)"This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, (10)your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (11)Give us today our daily bread. (12)Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. (13)And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' (14)For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (15)But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." If it's really saying that unforgiveness voids out salvation and if so then why isn't more emphasis put on forgiveness??? Shouldn't people know that forgiveness is virtually as important as faith itself??? P.S. I'd really love some biblical proof of anything you think on the subject...Seedling |
