1 | 1 CORINTHIANS 5 GALATIONS 6 EXPLAIN | 1 Cor 5:11 | rowa8 | 93287 | ||
MY brother had an affair and i am best friends with his wife. We are all christians. My sister-n-law doesnot want me to have a relationship with my brother. She keeps referring back to the verses in 1 corinthians 5. She says that it says i am not to eat with my brother that i am to cast him away from me until he repents. I see that verse as referring to the church as a whole casting the sinner out of fellowship. I also look at Galatians 6 which tells me if a brother is in sin to try to restore him gently. Don't cast him away or beat him over the head. I don't agree with my brothers behavior and he knows that and is very clear on how i feel about it. I love my brother and i can't let him go. I just met him 2 years ago because i was adopted. To see him makes me complete. He had a hard life and is rough around the edges but i never had a chance to do things with my brother and I still want to. Is it biblically ok to still see him. I don't think i should have this condition put on me? |
