1 | does God intervene on a daily basis | Rom 8:28 | rocketr22 | 120026
Hi Angel! Thank you so much for your answer. I just started using the forum and this was my first question. I am so glad people answered! If I could ask another question in response to your answer... God certainly allows "us to suffer through various situations" in life but does that mean it is correct to say... well this situation happened in my life and God allowed it so He must have a reason... I believe that God has the power to stop anything from happening but I don't think he chooses to. I guess that I think God pretty much allows almost ALL situations to happen. In other words maybe in the course of my life he might "move" a couple times to save me from some situation but I believe that this rarely happens. My Christian friends believe it happens on a daily basis. |

2 | To what extent does God intervene? | Rom 8:28 | rocketr22 | 119986
To what extent does God intervene in a Christian's life? My friends think everything happens for a reason and God causes good and bad in your life for a purpose. I tend to think that we are living in a fallen world and life happens. For example, if I were to have a miscarriage, I don't think that it is because God is trying to teach me something or "there must be a reason" etc. I think that miscarriages just happen becuase we don't live in a perfect world. I DO believe that God will use the situation for good and that I can grow closer to God because of the situation. But I do not believe that God caused it for a purpose. I believe life brings along enough situations for God to work and help Christians grow. Is this a totally faithless way of thinking?
