1 | And 'Finally' Eph.6:10. a dilemma for me | Eph 6:10 | nodland | 29034 | ||
The word 'Finally' in Ephesians 6:10 is shown with the Strong's number 3062 which remain, remnant, residue, rest. 3063 finally, furthermore, (from) henceforth, moreover, now, it remaineth. 3064 remaining time: from henceforth, hereafter, for the future. Perhaps I am reading this all wrong, but I find myself in a dilemma. I know word ‘finally’ is marking a transition in the subject matter, but in which way. Is Paul saying that because of what I have just said, previously in the letter, that to now live in the truth of it, you will from henceforth, hereafter, for the future, encounter spiritual warfare and will need to put on the armour of God and be strong in the Lord, so that you can stand. Or Is Paul saying, furthermore, as to the rest (the stuff that I haven’t cover here in this letter), be strong in the Lord and put on the whole armour of God (because the picture that amour gives us is the underlying principles which will keep you standing strong in the Lord, in what I have said and in what I haven’t said). Does anybody understand what I’m trying to get at? The implications are important to me. |
