1 | is conection between habk 5:1 and dan 6 | OT general | mitchellcraft | 157992
i reseantly saw a conection between habakkuk 1 spisificly v.5 and daniel 6:24-28 in habakkuk 1:5 God say's "look at the nations and watch- and be utterly amazed. for i am going to do somthing in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told." then it goes on to describe the oppression that the babalonians were doing. how ever considering israls past how is the opprission by the babolonians somthing that "you would not belive even if you were told." what i have seen is that what is described is not what they would not belive but a means to that end. habakkuk took place 612-589 b.c. and daniel took place 605-536 b.c. practicly the same time periods. in daniel 6 darius was deceved and was forced to through daniel in to the lions den however God was with daniel and he was not hurt and as a result king darius saw God and decreed to all the nations to the whole world wich were in his comand by the concering of the babalonians that "for He is the living God and He endures forever His kingdom will not be destroyed His dominion will never end He rescues and He saves He performs signes and wonders in the hevans and on earth He has rescued daniel from the power of the lions." now is this not somthing that you would not belive even if you were told that a pagen king who has concered the nation of this God and, baned the worship of Him with punisment of death, will turn and proclame him to the whole world as him being God. this happened among the nations, it happened in habakuk's days and, it was amazing now i know this realy dosent seem like a question, but i want to see if this is as obvious to others as it is to me that there is a conection hear or, if im just conecting two slightly related passages what do you think?
