1 | Search for Holy Grail or Search for God? | 1 Tim 4:7 | malspa | 160980
I have been very interested in the tales of the Holy Grail and I have come to one conclusion. I do not believe that we should spend our lives searching for this grail, for it only leads us away from our search for God. With this in mind, I have a question. Is it possible that when the grail stories were started in the 1100's that the grail was a metaphor for the rapture, or meeting with God? It makes sense, early stories started with a knight having a vision of the grail (metaphor - prophecy of rapture), when the knight awakes, he goes on an endless journey for the grail (metaphor - the meeting with God). What do you think? |

3 | God's Second disapointment | Gen 1:2 | malspa | 73171
We all know that God created Man, and has -at times- become disappointed with this creation. However, is Man the second creation that God has not happy with? In Genesis 1:2 we find Earth being "formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep," and later in Genesis 1:4 we learn that God liked the light so he separated it from darkness. Now, if the Earth was covered in darkness (Gen 1:2)and God did not like darkness(Gen 1:4), logically it can be said that God did not like the Earth. Now, I am in no way downgrading or blesphemizing our God. There are some theories as to why the Earth was created in this manner, however I will not get into those. My last question is, If God created light because he was not happy with Earth, what will he, or has he/ created because he is not happy with Man? |

4 | Difference of God | Eph 5:1 | malspa | 69630
I have noticed a difference in God's mood between the Old Testament and the New Testament. Is there a reason for this? In the OT, God seems to be like a parent, teaching and scolding. In the NT, God seems to be more passive. Also, is there any relation between the difference and parenting. When children are growing up, we teach them, scold them, and reward them. When they are adults we know that they are grown up, and they must make their own decisions. |

5 | Question of God | John 3:18 | malspa | 69635
Greetings to All I am relatively a new believer, however I am absorbing information from the bible like crazy. I am trying to prove my faith to my family by converting some of them as well. I know that without the Holy Spirit to enter them, they are lost like so many others. When talking one day, the Book of Revalations came up and I was faced with the question of how God could do all this to the people on Earth. The way I see it, the true believers in Christ will be raptured and then the seven seals will be opened, causing mayhem on Earth. Although none of the Jewish Converts will be physically injured by the Glorious Powers of God, others will. The question is, How could God allow such destruction to go on? How could God allow people to go through torture? I also have a follow up question, that should be fun. I have a feeling that, as glorious as it would be, I would not want to be raptured. I would want to stay to open the eyes of as many people as I can. Is that wrong? Is it wrong to want to shine my lampstand at the most darkest of times? |

7 | Mercy can only go so far... right? | Eph 5:5 | malspa | 67527
Isn't it a little ironic that the Bible is the most shoplifted book in America? Do these people think they will get any closer to our Beloved God? I am distraught with emotions toward anybody that could do this. I know that if a person steals a bible, however believes in Our One True God, they will be forgiven. The problem is; Our God is a Merciful God, but can God be pushed too far?
