2 | Ex divorced me and I want to remarry | 1 Cor 7:1 | kalani | 81940
I have been divorced for 5 years and have been a single parent of my 2 sons since. My ex wife divorced me. I am unsure if adultry was involved. I do know she is an alcoholic and drug addict and that played a big part in her decision to divorce me. I refused to leave my family that was created in the eyes of God. However, she didnt see things that way and didnt care what Gods law says about divorce and reasons for divorcing. I am now going to remarry but a Baptist preacher refused to marry us (same one who baptized me) because I had been married before and says it would be a marriage in sin. I have read and reread the scriptures concerning marriage and divorce. I DID NOT put away my wife for any reason. I feel she was an unbeliever but only God knows our individual hearts so its only my opinion that if she were a true believer then alcohol and drugs wouldnt have been a problem and she wouldnt have divorced me. My concern is my new marriage. Please be blunt and straight with me, will it be a marriage in sin? Thank you in advance and thanks for a great website. My fiance' and I enjoy it very much. This is a private question so please do not post it.
