For Good Friday service a few of us are giving an excertation of each of Jesus last 7 phrases .. I guess that's what I'll call them.. and the one we took was... "woman behold thy son, son behold thy woman".. My question is what does this text actually mean.. we feel like it is a reference to the body of christ.. each other.. that we are not alone.. it's interesting that this appears only in John and none of the other gospels unless I'm mistaken..and who is clopas?.. and also who is the disciple he is referring to when he tells him to take her(mary) into his home? this is obviously significant otherwise it wouldn't be mentioned.. i.e. prayer of jabez.. well.. what do you think? | ||||||
