3 | Is Desiderata in the Bible? | Romans | joaodasilva | 217694 | ||
Hello! I remember reading in the Bible (Old Testament) a text very similar to the poem "Desiderata" (for the ones who don't know it, the poem starts like this: "Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence..."). Here is a link to the poem: http://www.poetseers.org/the_great_poets/misc/desid In Bible, the words were a bit different, but the meaning was the same. However, I can't fint the text in Bible that contained the ideas of this poem (it's harder than finding a needle in a haystack)... Could someone help me or at least say a text in the Bible that is similar to Desiderata? |
