Question (full): Many so-called churches claim that God's definition of Grace is "unmerited favor" but that is not true at all. Read Lk 2:40 where we begin to learn what God's definition of Grace is. God's "unmerited favor" was not, is not and never was upon His Holy and Righteous Son! Although not one of us has deserved to be saved, God's definition of Grace is not "unmerited favor". What is God's definition of Grace? All true Christians with the anointing from the Holy One of God will know but i seriously doubt any false Christians will know. Do you know what God's definition of Grace is? grace is God promoting you in all Biblical ways that others see easily, is it |

10 | Muslims feel they believe in another God | Bible general Archive 4 | glassbopper | 195637 | ||
bush is an antichrist. proof--- God and Culture-how can all believe in the same God, any better Biblical answers Reflections on culture and religion from an evangelical worldview. October 9, 2007 Bush Bait and Switch Theology: Religious Liberty and the Monotheistic Fallacy "I believe in an Almighty God," said President Bush in an interview with Al Arabiya, "and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. Thats what I believe." The Presidents attempt to promote a monotheistic ecumenism among the worlds religions is noble but misguided. Neither Muslims nor Christians (or as I hope to show, Jews) believe that we "pray to the same God." At the risk of overcomplicating the issue, lets examine the claim by putting it into a logical structure. The Muslims argument, based on the Quran, can be put in the form of a (modus ponens) syllogism: 1. If P then Q If you believe that Jesus is the begotten son of God, then you do not believe in the one true God (See Note 1: Quran (Sura 112)) 2. P Christians believe that Jesus is the begotten son of God. (See Note 2: John 3:16) 3. Q Christians do not believe in the one true God. Note 1: Quran (Sura 112) -- "Say He is God, The One and Only God, the Eternal, Absolute He begetteth not, Nor is He begotten And there is none Like unto Him." Note 2: John 3 16 --- While I doubt the President was aware of this argument, Im sure that he would agree this is a valid argument with true premises. He should also, therefore, agree that from the Muslim perspective, we do not all pray to the same God. But the most that can be inferred by that conclusion is that Muslims do not believe Christians and Muslims worship the same God. ... ... ... ... |

You know, only in going to war do humans feel the need to appeal to God. There's no "God with us" on the belt buckles of cops. God gets invoked in war, because it's a much more extreme state of the human condition. War always brings you very quickly to the point of "us or them." -quote from Malaysia news what does Christ mean by "either for Me or against Me" certainly not folly |

New Living Translation the undergoing questioning follows underneath here. Mark 11 Mar 11:1 As Jesus and his disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany, on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. Mar 11:2 "Go into that village over there," he told them, "and as soon as you enter it, you will see a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. -the persons here expected a supersonic string of holy wars with Jesus as warrior-King, correct? as the Hero-warrior who fought alone, like Rammbow on 80s and 90s TV Mar 11:3 If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, The Lord needs it and will return it soon. " Mar 11:4 The two disciples left and found the colt standing in the street, tied outside a house. Mar 11:5 As they were untying it, some bystanders demanded, "What are you doing, untying that colt?" they were very angry and shocked, correct. could not couple this with that Judaism of those days Mar 11:6 They said what Jesus had told them to say, and they were permitted to take it. they must have heard much about the FAme of the Name, through all sorts of directions. so they leaned forward to meet Him, i believe Mar 11:7 Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it, and he sat on it. Mar 11:8 Many in the crowd spread their coats on the road ahead of Jesus, and others cut leafy branches in the fields and spread them along the way. those Jews tore their clothes in anger or sorrow for Godsake Mar 11:9 He was in the center of the procession, and the crowds all around him were shouting, "Praise God!bbb Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Mar 11:10 Bless the coming kingdom of our ancestor David! Praise God in highest heaven!"nnn they expected J to be what the Rabbis teach even today Mar 11:11 So Jesus came to Jerusalem and went into the Temple. He looked around carefully at everything, and then he left because it was late in the afternoon. Then he went out to Bethany with the twelve disciples. Mar 11:12 The next morning as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus felt hungry. Mar 11:13 He noticed a fig tree a little way off that was in full leaf, so he went over to see if he could find any figs on it. But there were only leaves because it was too early in the season for fruit. Mar 11:14 Then Jesus said to the tree, "May no one ever eat your fruit again!" And the disciples heard him say it. the last string of words I stress double. the disciples were still religious and not sure sufficient as to Jesus motives Mar 11:15 When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the merchants and their customers. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the stalls of those selling doves, Mar 11:16 and he stopped everyone from bringing in merchandise. Mar 11:17 He taught them, "The Scriptures declare, My Temple will be called a place of prayer for all nations, but you have turned it into a den of thieves."sss Mar 11:18 When the leading priests and teachers of religious law heard what Jesus had done, they began planning how to kill him. But they were afraid of him because the people were so enthusiastic about Jesus' teaching. Judas I. was surely watching all. Mar 11:19 That evening Jesus and the disciples sss left the city. Mar 11:20 The next morning as they passed by the fig tree he had cursed, the disciples noticed it was withered from the roots. Mar 11:21 Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, "Look, Teacher! The fig tree you cursed has withered!" the crowds were here too maybe Peter was exceeding loudmouthed. |
