1 | What was James then referring to? | Rom 4:1 | exogrn | 83033
But isn't the point of our faith in Jesus that we are saved through what he did on the cross? And if so, our faith must have value apart from works or else why would we be saved only through faith? I guess I don't understand what issue James was referring to. I mean was he trying to warn believers that there faith is dead if they don't quit there jobs and move to Africa to start a mission?
2 | Help!! Works or Grace? | Rom 4:1 | exogrn | 83025
Help! Can someone clarify whether we are justified by works or by grace? These two scriptures seem to oppose each other. James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. |

3 | Interpret this verse. | Hos 6:2 | exogrn | 82111
In have heard this verse used to support the rapture during the 3rd day mentioned here, in conjunction with 2 Peter's verse that a day to the Lord is as 1000 years. So taking that into consideration, the 3rd day would be the third millenium since Christ. Meaning the millenium we are in now. Since the first 2,000 would be the first 2 days. I'd enjoy hearing your comments on this. |
