4 | Dietary Law Today | 1 Cor 8:1 | challen | 94127 | ||
I have a question regarding Dietary Law. In Leviticus it is written that we should not eat pork. With Jesus redeeming us from sin by his death and resurection, are we now allowed to dismiss the Dietary Law?? I can't find anything literal that allows us to not adhere to the dietary law other than what is interpreted by people to be the "release" from the dietary law. Mark 7 states that Jesus says that it is not what goes into the man that defiles him, but what comes out of him. Still, no direct statement that the dietary law is not required. Below is a link to what I believe is a very strong argument to keeping the dietary law. At the same time, I do not wish to take Jesus' sacrifice in vain. the link: http://www.newswatchmagazine.org/restknowledge/eph215.htm Any help from a "qualified" source is appreciated. Please not from someone who says "well, I would say", i.e., opinion. Thanks CHA |
