4 | The Bible written in code ? | Bible general Archive 2 | bruren777 | 144841
I've heard it said (by non-Christians) on more than one occasion that the Bible is written in code. I said God had no reason to do that, He wants His Word to reach all. It dosen't make any sense that God would do that, He keeps nothing from His children, except for the time of Jesus' return. I went to a Bible bookstore once and the owner had a book for sale, written by a non Christian. The subject of the book was how the Bible is written in code. I pointed this out to the store owner, whom I know. He said it did no harm, I disagreed with Him, he was not pleased. The next time I went there the book was no longer in the store. I didn't ask him about it, I just thought that he changed his mind. After the lenghty prologue, have you ever heard of the Bible being written in code. Thank you. In Him, Bruce Bergren |

5 | Perhaps I don't understand these verses | Gen 1:3 | bruren777 | 144705
Genesis 1:3-5 (NIV) And God said "Let there be light" and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He seperated the light from the darkness. God calle the light"day" and the darkness night". And there there was evening and there was morning-the first day. Genesis 1:16 (NIV) God made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. The 3 verses seem to concur, but they also seem to refer to different situations. Can you clear this up for me? Thank you. In Him, Bruce |
