1 | John 14:1-3 | NT general | beana21 | 214775
Tomorrow I am planning on giving Junior high sunday school lesson on John 14:1-3. where it talks about don't let your heart be troubled. I go to my father's house to prepare a place for you. I am curious though if those verses can be applied to everyone or if those verses were for the disciples only. I am guessing that Jesus meant He was preparing a place in God's house for everyone(born again believers) and that those verses can be applied to each of us and not just to the disciples. Any comments would be appreciated.
2 | 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 | 1 Cor 13:1 | beana21 | 213746
I gave a Sunday School lesson recently where I pretended I was successfully blessed with worldly knowledge where I wrote a couple books and gave 15,000 dollars to the poor however I showed in my skit where I was proud of my achievements I had a person hitting pan lids together to represent my sounds as tinkling cymbals being hit together. Then at the end of the skit I read 1 Corinthians 13:1-3. It says in those verses that we are nothing if we talk good, give money to the poor and have knowledge if we do not have God's love. Does the passage refer to christians only or is it okay to refer that to nonChristians also. hopefully I am not being confusing I just want to make sure that nonChristians could apply 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 to them as well as Christians. thanks for your comments |

3 | The word fasting in Mark 9:29 | Mark 9:29 | beana21 | 208651
I was reading Mark 9:29 in NASB and it states "And He said to them, "This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer." I was then looking at KJV Bible and it says same thing except at the end "prayer and fasting." The KJV adds the word fasting. I went to my greek bible and it shows a word for fasting. I am just curious which version would be right with the translation. Does anyone have any insight? thanks, |

4 | meaning of Proverbs 20:10 | Prov 20:10 | beana21 | 202588
Proverbs 20:10 states Differing weights and differing measures, both of them are abominable to the Lord. I am a salesman and I can set my price. Depending on competition I might go in at different margins to a certain degree. Example person A gets product at 30 percent gross margin and person B gets it at 25 percent gross margin. Does anyone have insight if that is breaking that verse. thanks, |

5 | Predestination | Eccl 6:10 | beana21 | 197736
Good evening, I quickly scanned the Pelagian link. Interesting. The church I go to believes in the age of accountability. Is there any scriptural reference to this. According to the Pelagian link there is no such thing. I would believe that God is merciful to infants however. Thanks, Ben |

9 | 1,000 year reign | 1 Thessalonians | beana21 | 159613
On Revelation 20:1-6 it talks about the thousand year reign. A question I have is whether all believers take place in this dead and living or whether it will be just the believers that are alive on earth at the time. It seems like that is the first resurrection according to verse 5. My guess from reading this is that all saved believers in Jesus will be present for the 1,000 year reign. Does anyone have any information or insight into this.
