1 | God kill Moses? | Exodus | ZillaMaximus | 218326
Again, a shocker to me. Exodus 4:24-26 (NLV) Why does God come to kill Moses? I have companion questions to this, like, the blood smeared on a bridegroom and circumcision and what is going on there and what should I get out of it and if Moses hadn't already told Aaron what was the plan, why would God speak to Moses and then try to kill him before there was any hope of completing His plan? Again, couple sentences but much I don't get. Why/How did Zipporah know God was coming? How did she know circumcision of Moses' son would stop Moses being killed? Thanks, Zilla |

2 | Moses as killer? | Exodus | ZillaMaximus | 218324
Hi y'all. I've been reading the NLV (I think) from the beginning. I have a bunch of questions, but this one is the most concerning/shocking to me. In Exodus 2:12 Moses kills a dude for abusing the workers he is trying to lead out of Egypt. WHAT??? How is this holy? How is this a good example? How is this justified/justifiable? Does God sanction this? Suggest it? It's like this little tiny 'oh, by the way' kind of passage and I was shocked. I know the God of the OT is 'rougher' than the NT God. Or I think I know that. But still. What am I to learn from this passage?????? Thanks in advance-- Zilla |
