1 | Does the word "fornication" mean sex? | Amos 3:3 | WWJS | 72932
Matthew 5:32 states that "whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, causes her to commit adultery..." The Greek word "pornea" means fornication. Why do some Bibles use "unfaithfulness"? Does pornea or fornication include more or less than the sexual act? I ask because a friend is being divorced from his wife because he has a pornography addiction. She has been told by her pastor that divorce is ok in this situation. I told him that his wife is sinning by seeking a divorce. Who's right?
