1 | Who did the devil murder? | 2 Pet 2:4 | TheFinalSQL | 127422
Who did the devil murder? We are told by Jesus that the devil was a murderer from the beginning: John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 3 | Fare thee well | Bible general Archive 2 | TheFinalSQL | 113265
Fare thee well. I did not even have to ask my Pastor if I should be here. He answered it plainly in Bible class last night. I have got exactly what I needed from this site. A confirmation of what I need to do and the direction to go. I thank you one and all. Psalms 150:1-6 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Brother Norm |

6 | Can God die? | John 3:16 | TheFinalSQL | 112153
Can God die? John 4:24 God is a Spirit... Thomas calls Jesus God after the cross. Before the cross Jesus tells the Apostles he will not always be with them. (Mt 26:11) God is always with us is he not? After the cross he will always be with them (Mt 28:20) The Word was there in the beginning, Jesus was not. The Word was made Jesus (John 1:14) The Word is God. God manifested himself in his son. But after the cross God exhalted Jesus by entering that dead body and raising it from the dead. 7 | Is not Jesus the Almighty? | John 3:16 | TheFinalSQL | 112149
Is not Jesus the Almighty? Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. This verse is Jesus speaking and he says he is the Almighty. Tara, if you want to speak of Jesus prior to the cross, I agree with you. Jesus was not born God. Mary is not the mother of God and can not give birth to God. Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Jesus Christ exhalted, after the cross, is God. God gave Jesus his name, Jehovah, notice this verse in Philippians 2.9, its starts with Wherefore, meaning because of the prior verse. He already had the name Jesus from birth, he was given the name above every name Jehovah because of Phl 2.8 Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Praise the Lord! Norm |

Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. 11 | Why do we have Jesus stuck in a manger? | Col 2:16 | TheFinalSQL | 107592
Why do we have Jesus stuck in a manger? You have introduced a lot of nonbiblical statements in this so called biblical approach. Regardless, we do not benefit from the birth of Jesus. We benefit because he died and shed his blood for us. Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Praise the Lord! Norm |
