1 | God's Law vs. Man's Law | 2 John 1:6 | Scott P | 140395
Gal 5:14 say's the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, LOVE. Does that mean that the Law is done away with? Jesus plainly says in Mat 5:17-18 that he did not come to destroy the Law. Gal 5:14 is saying all of God's Laws can be summed up with the word, Love. God is love, so His Law is Love. His Law is not done away with because of Love. There seems to be a great confusion about the difference between God's Law and man's law. God never changes, man does change
2 | Why worship on resurrection day? | Ex 20:10 | Scott P | 140394
Just wondering where in the N.T is say's anything about worshipping on the day of or celebrating Christ's resurrection and that the apostles ever did that. The only thing I know Jesus telling us to do in rememberence of him is in Luke 22:19 which is holy communion. Celebrating his birth and resurrection are all man made traditions. Jesus obviously rested on the seventh day Sabbath after his crucifixion then woke up the first day of the week and went back to work. ???
3 | What commandments to keep? | Ex 20:10 | Scott P | 140393
If you choose not to keep the 4th commandment why do you choose to keep the other nine? Is there a ranking system where one is more important than another? Are you saying that none of them are important because Christ died. In John 14:15, John 14:21, John 15:10 what commandments are Jesus referring to? Jesus hadn't died yet so there was no new covenant yet. What commandments of his Father was he keeping? If Jesus superceded the covanent why did he follow any of the Mosaic laws. 1John 2:3 says we know that we know Him if we keep his commandments. What commandments? 1John 5:3 says if we love God we will keep his commandments. What commandments? Rev 12:17, 14:12, and 22:14 says God knows us because we kept his commandments. I need to know what those are so when Jesus comes again He will know me. Thanks for the help |

4 | Who is the Lord of the 10 commandments? | Ex 20:11 | Scott P | 140392
If you chose to remove the 4th commandment how do you know who or what Lord is commanding you to follow the other nine? Who the Lord is is not identified in the other nine. To elder young I ask, if it doesn't matter what day of the week we celebrate sabbath on why did God say specifically to rest on the seventh day as He had? Shouldn't God just of said to remember a sabbath day and not been specific. I figure if it's good enough for God it must be good for me. How can I as a sinfull corrupt human think that I can do it any other way than God's and it be just as good. God is perfect, there is no better way.
